Natalie understood the sentiment. She didn't feel as if she could be any more ready than she was at that moment. Worries flooded through her mind, refusing to be pushed away, but she tried her best to ignore them.
Natalie took Kay's hand as she led her lover through the house and to the garage that only she used. Mandy had never desired to learn to drive, preferring to Apparate or use public transportation.
She walked to one of the two cars and opened the passenger door. "Don't worry, I've been driving for quite a number of years," she assured Kay with a quirk of her lips. When Kay was settled in the car, she closed the door and went around to the driver's side. They began their drive from the outskirts of London into the busy city.
"You'll be meeting several people tonight," she warned Kay, trying to fill the silence as much as prepare her lover for what was to come. "Most of them don't matter so much, they'll be mostly just from the business - models, perhaps a couple other designers, assistants, inconsequential people whose opinions really don't matter to me."
She licked her lips, the only sign of the nerves twisting in her stomach. "There is one person, though - and I really should have mentioned him before," she admitted with a light blush. "Brian is my very best friend, and I really hope that," he's on his best behavior, "you two will get on smashingly."
