Natalie could see the nerves peeking through the flirtation, but chose to not focus on it. She was incredibly nervous, too. Even though she was in her thirties and knew what she wanted in life and didn't need others' approval, it would surely devastate her if Kay and Brian absolutely hated one another.
Natalie was torn from her thoughts at Kay's playful question. She made slow work of moving her eyes from Kay's toes, over the thin straps wrapping deliciously around her ankle, up her toned legs, until finally reaching her lover's eyes.
"I think I'm not sure we're going to make it until midnight, you looking this good," she murmured, her eyes cloudy with rekindling desire.
She gave Kay one more glance over before slipping into her closet to change. When she came back out she was wearing a ruched silver cocktail dress, silver heels with one strap across the top and one around her ankle.
