The words really did make no sense at all. They'd been seeing one another for six months, and Natalie couldn't think of anything that had happened that would make her hate Kay. Was she hurt? Yes. Was she confused? Yes. But there wasn't a bone in her body that could hate Kay.
Natalie could see the pain in Kay's eyes, and she wanted nothing more than to soothe it away. She wanted to be able to love Kay completely and fully. She wanted a true relationship with her, one where they could be honest with the ones they cared most about. She wanted to share her life with Kay, not just these treasured, stolen moments, even if they had been more frequent as of late.
Kay's words pierced straight to her heart, but before the pain of hearing for herself that Kay only cared, not loved, cared for her could take root, she looked into Kay's eyes. The emotions, the feelings that went so much deeper than her words were shining through, and Natalie felt her heart speed up.
"Please," she breathed, near to begging. "Please, don't keep it inside. Tell me, show me. Please." She kissed Kay, then, her lips firm and demanding, pleading with her to love her.
