Nicholas was having a blast. Hanging out with Amy and Thomas was the most fun he'd had in a very long time. It made him feel older, cooler. He landed with Amy and Thomas, tired, yet still willing to play on with all the enthusiastic energy an eleven year old could muster. He waved at Ferrol and Natalie, then hurried on inside to find Pansy.
Thomas hadn't noticed that Amy had stopped moving forward with him once they were inside. He probably wouldn't have noticed, except it seemed as though he couldn't physically move any further. Thinking that maybe someone was playing some sort of prank on him, he turned with a frown on his face.
"What are you looking at?" he asked Amy even as he tilted his head up to look for whatever was holding her attention. His eyebrows rose in surprise when he spotted what was hovering a couple feet above their heads. "That isn't what I think it is, is it?" he asked, his face slightly pale.
