Mandy climbed into the shower, turning the water on steaming hot. She stepped under the spray, her eyes slipping closed, sighing as it soothed away the lingering tension from the day.
Her stomach was in knots, but not with doubt. She was so excited about taking this step, this huge, life-changing step, but she was also a little nervous. She'd never had a mother, had never really seen what a marriage should be like, so she wasn't sure how their relationship would change once they were married.
She hummed in contentment when he slipped into the shower and pulled her back against him. "Mmm, good." They helped to clean one another, their touches only slightly teasing, both wanting to have enough stamina to share each other as husband and wife that night.
As they dried off and pulled on clean clothes, Mandy said, "We'll need to stop at my place so I can pick up a couple things." It had only taken Natalie two days after Mandy had become engaged to come up with three original designs for her wedding dress. She had all three prototypes in her closet waiting for her to wear them.
