Mandy hummed lightly when he nuzzled her neck and kissed her collar bone. Tingles rose up over her body, and her mind drifted momentarily, blissfully away from the topic at hand.
The tears were falling slowly now, and when he told her in that tender voice he only ever seemed to use with her that he didn't want her to be sad any longer, she felt her heart melt. She smiled at him.
"I'd never talked about his death before. At all. Trust me, this cry was long overdue. After he died I withdrew from the world, and that's when I started drawing and painting. Some of my art from that time... No one's ever seen it. It was the only way I could deal with the pain and guilt. I'd like to show you sometime."
As she spoke in that soft whisper meant only for him, her tears slowly subsided. She still felt responsible and guilty, but she wasn't alone anymore. She had Nathan, her own dark angel who knew her, loved her, trusted her.
