Allie had sort of been hoping that someone else would take the call and come out. She shouldn't be surprised, though, that her luck was not in. She tried not to show her discomfort in seeing Roan again, but unlike him, her job didn't require much in the way of professionalism. It wasn't a mask she usually wore, and much as she'd known that it was a one off, a tiny part of her had sort of maybe hoped that there had been something there. She squashed it down when she saw him, because that was what you did in these situations and she had lots of experience with squashing her feelings, but easier and experienced didn't mean easy.
"Yeah. Maria the cleaning lady found something in one of the rooms and called you guys. She said it looks like... well... she has no idea what it is but she wouldn't touch it," Allie said with a shrug. Maria had seen just about everything working here. If she wouldn't touch it, Allie wasn't about to argue with her.
