Scarlett rolled her eyes and continued to fuss over Ari when Mike slid into the front of the cruiser. She had most of his blood cleaned up, anything on his skin anyway, and nothing was too deep, but he would have a lot of bruises the next day, she could already see a shiner develop.
She gave Ari a quick squeeze of his hand and leaned forward towards Mike. The girls were out and in charge, between the fact that she had torn apart her shirt to help Ari, and the brawl. Also, it had turned out to be a mucher colder than expected night, it was almost fall after all, and she had only been wearing a bra and flimsy tank top. It left nothing to the imagination.
"Do we really need to go downtown officer? My friend here was just defending my honor, and my house is right up the street. I promise I'll give him some black coffee and a talking to."
