Ares was on his way back to the royal port, he wasn't sure where exactly but along the way he'd picked up a stowaway. She'd gone unnoticed for quite sometime, masking herself as a male. But Ares had uncovered her a couple of days ago fairly easily. From that point he'd had her continue to work, needing the extra crew, but once they were ashore things would change. It wasn't often he even encountered a Terran, but the girl had proven useful. When he saw the docks come into view he smiled, the dragons were swirling above the castle. That was certainly different, it only meant Silas was preparing for battle.
From what he'd been messaged about he was to help aid Calder to the fairy territory. It was quicker to travel by dragon, however thanks to Asa thinking on his feet as always it had been deemed that the dragons may just set the fae on edge. He was sure he could get them there in a matter of days, regardless how strong the waters were, not to mention with Calder aboard he really didn't worry about the currant.
While he was lost in thought the fairy landed on the deck, getting an immediate response from the males aboard the ship. He nodded to her as she made her way up to the stern. "Laila, a pleasure to see you as always my dear." Ares could throw the charm out on a whim, and had yet to fail. And by that slight blush to hr cheeks and smile he knew he still hadn't.
"Ares, I am sure Calder will be thrilled to see you. I'm not sure how many of us are going, that is still being discussed."
Ares chuckled and shook his head as he steered his ship. "I expect no less from the royal family. But of course having you aboard will be a treat. I'll see to it a cabin is prepared as best we can to his liking, which will be nowhere near grand enough for his taste." He gave her a wink and shouted out orders to his crew as they brought the ship to dock and tied it off. "But then again, I assume you know that."
Releasing the wheel he stepped toward her and gave her a warm hug before tucking her arm into his, escorting her up the dock. "You are looking well." He did enjoy that hint of color that lit her face up, undoubtedly Calder wouldn't be pleased with his shameless flirting and flattering of the enchanting fairy. As he stepped off the ship he raised a brow as the stowaway started behind him. Tilting his head he stopped her with a strong hand and looked down at her. "I don't think so Rowan, you'll be staying here until I return and decide what to do with you."
The look she gave him could of melted an entire glacier. Ares gave a nod to his first mate who took her back aboard. Then he returned his attention to Laila, who had a very questioning gaze directed at him. "Stowaway. Pirate law, she's mine to deal with. I have yet to decide her fate. And just so you know she's a pain in the ass. Never really did get along too well with Terrans."
They walked into the castle and headed straight for the war room, which seemed to be where they frequently gathered at these days, Laila still on his arm.
