*arrives over as well, carrying the mashed potatoes and shepherding Glorfindel (and the gravy) along* *in the way of mothers and old aunts, soon has the four of them settled and Graced and tucking into supper*
*is quite curious about the city and what it is her nephew actually does day-to-day, so mostly asks her questions and lets the rest of you explain, only offering bits about life in Dorthonion when asked* *is mightily impressed with what she's hearing (it all sounds much more important than what Jackie's told her, but then he does like to understate, silly boy)* *and watching the three of you laugh with each other is a treat, too, when Jackie never had brothers and rarely brought friends home*
*finally, after seconds and attempted thirds ("psh, you're growing boys, don't tell me you're full already?"), turns her thoughts to dessert and that lovely-smelling coffee waiting on the counter* *gives everyone a bit of a sit-down to digest, then gets to her feet and starts clearing dishes* ...so I figure we'll clean up and put the leftovers away, and I'll get the pudding around while the coffee's on?
