*is ridiculously excited about seeing Elrond again, though he feels the tiniest bit guilty not to have told anything about this to his own parents (who are just happy that he's taking a nice girl to the dance)*
*is nervous about meeting CelebrÃan for the first time, having heard so much about her from her children and from growing up in a home in which her presence lingered long after her departure*
*stands on the front doorstep, bouncing slightly on the balls of his feet as he waits for the door to be opened* |

*is extremely pleased with how her (and her daughter's) home is progressing, thanks largely due to Nerdanel and Curufin (!)* *does feel that it's missing something, however*
*when she's fairly certain that Celegorm will be out, makes her way to his house and goes out to the stables*
*makes some arrangements with the head groom before she goes to find Buttercup* *not bothering with a saddle, only puts on the bridle and departs for a long ride, through the countryside she has grown to know (and love) so well*
*is a little bit morose when she returns to the stable, having poured her heart out to her horse* |
