*Arrives home early after an uncharacteristically quiet day at The Flower and flops onto the couch.*
*Looks around the flat's usual clutter and mess and is overcome with an equally unusual desire to tidy-up.*
*Sorts the magazines under the coffee table in order of size (Largest on the bottom, smallest on the top). Next, tackles the dishes in the sink, dries them, then stacks them (again, big plates on the bottom, small on top, bowls stacked on the shelf above, glasses in one cupboard, mugs in another, all with their handles turned to the right).*
*Organises the laundry, actually irons and folds it for a change and designates a particular drawer or section of the cupboards for each item of clothing.*
*Vacuums the carpets, then takes the nozzle off the end of the tube and runs it over the vacuum itself just in case it got a bit dirty during the process.*
*Sits back down, tapping her fingers on her knees restlessly, before deciding to re-organise the cutlery drawer. Maybe give it all a polish while she's at it; cutlery can never be too shiny.* |
