*has somehow made it to the third weekend of Ecthelion's absence—without resorting to alcohol or chain-smoking, even!* *is actually pretty comfortable leaving for his weekend up north, since People's Voice packed up and moved out after their week-long stint, and the North Peak protest died on the heels of the burrito incident (which has somehow gotten the Fountain labeled in the papers as "the House that gave the shirt off its back", although Deborah did return the shirt to him later on)*
*arrives in Brighton well after dark on Friday and, as before, snags a car from the Tradewinds lot* *figures it's just more convenient all around, especially since he's planning to drive out to Buckleburgh tomorrow night*
*on a whim, stops into a 24-hour mart on his way over to Carol's* *heads inside and is soon poking through the little flower stand, looking for something nice for the dinner table* |
