New Alliance - OOC

Hello there, everybody!

After much discussion, the Mods have come to a decision about the conclusion of the Winter-In-Summer plot. We've been seeing a lot of great work go into this plot, and it's very exciting. We look forward to many more with you guys. Here's what we got:

Wanda learns from SHIELD that something weird is happening with Tora and her people. She will then mention this to Strange and the others. The group go to Norway to figure out what is happening and there meet up with the Fantastic Four (and whomever is there with them). Amora can join them there. She can give them insight into how the Frost Giants are using the descendants to establish a connection to Midgard.

Knowing this, Team Magic and Team Science work on severing the link they have created. This will get the attention of the higher-ups of the Frost Giants who are already beginning to wonder if using Midgard as a battlefield was a good idea due to the unprecedented amount of causalities. They go to see what has happened in Norway where they are confronted by Thor and the other Midgardians (FF, Bea, Amora, Team Magic, etc). Some harsh words will be exchanged and Thor meets with Laufey to negotiate the release of Midgard. The Jotuns decide to retreat.

Someone asked a question about the Frost Giants that I thought the answer was worth reposting so everyone could see it:

The Frost Giants are always around, but they're not necessarily right THERE all the time.

This is a war to them, and the war isn't with Midgard. Midgard and it's human inhabitants are incidental, so the the Jotun are mobilizing, searching for the best place to hold their positions all over the world so that when Loki and Thor finally face them, they'll have strongholds everywhere and be ready to fight on whichever front they're attacked from.

This means that at any time, your cities might be free of the Frost Giants as they move through to whatever point they're marching toward. Some might follow and fight, some might not. Because there are always MORE of them coming, and there could be another wave passing through the city, since it already appears to be on a path to wherever it is they're going.

But... your characters don't necessarily know that. ;)

\o/ It's that time!

For the next two weeks, (until 7/21) Winter has come to NA. The Frost Giants, believing that Thor and Loki have broken treaty with them, due to their recent activities on Midgard, have come to start a war, bringing winter with them. How you react to this turn of events is up to you.

We've been going on the assumption (given that we've only marked out two weeks for this plot) that this is going to be more cracky than heavy srs. With that in mind, there are still big blue guys to smack down, and a resolution to come to (likely magical, but I have no firm opinions on this).

The Teen Titans are debuting though, and I hope to see the Avengers Assembling again, and I'd love to see the X-Men, too. Villains, feel free to take advantage of the chaos, but let's start trying this thing where bad guys actually get caught once in awhile.
