Optional plot prompts:
It's a bad week for physical labourers, and just about everyone is forced to help out with set-up/take down when several roustabouts are incapacitated by exhaustion and overheating. Sprains, strains, heat sickness, and dehydration abound; several carnies collapse from over-exertion. People become aggravated and get on each others' nerves far more than usual.
Both sides of the Falls are popular tourist destinations, but the amount of work the carnies have to do leaves little time for them to relax and enjoy most of the attractions, aside from the omnipresent sight of the Falls themselves.
On Thursday, several of the petting zoo animals die of heat stroke. Animal caregivers try to find some way to keep the remaining critters cool.
A truck and one of the rides break down on Sunday on the way to Buffalo, and will have to be sold as scrap if no-one is able to fix them.
Everyone's hard work is rewarded with a turkey feast late Tuesday night, and the kitchen workers require extra help to butcher/pluck/clean/cook the birds. Volunteers?
Despite all of the irritations of the past week, everyone makes a considerable amount of money.
(Please feel free to plot in the comment section of this post or suggest anything you would like to see added! ♥)
