Rules/FAQ
RULES

1: Keep your character(s) active. Your character will be dropped & put up for someone else to app if we realize that it has been inactive for a month. You may re-app for that character if you wish to do so. There will be no exceptions to this rule unless the player has previously stated within the community or to one of the mods that: a. they were on hiatus b. RL problems, c. school related problems or d. lack of internet connection.

2: There is to be no godmodding. This specifically means that you will NOT attempt to control another person's character. Be polite, respect your fellow players & ask for permission from the player him/herself before you do anything. Alternatively, do not presume access to information revealed OOCly.

3: Keep OOC problems /out of character/. An RP is for fun; it isn't a personal battleground for you to have your characters start sniping at each other just because you dislike the player. You'll get booted out with no apologies if we find out that this is being done.

4: This RP is het, yuri and yaoi friendly. Discrimination and/or bashing will NOT be tolerated, or you will be banned.

5: This community is unrated. If you are under 18, keep to yourself? We ask that all NC-17 posts, logs, etc be put under LJ cuts with appropriate warnings.

FAQ

1: What is this RP about?
Various characters from all over the multi-verse have been admitted--without permission--to Hillsmay Asylum. Hillsmay is a institution larger than 10 football fields. The place is a maze, and it's wards exceed your normal a-z. The Hospital itself is run by one Dr. Daemon Dante, and his equally unstable surgeons, nurses, and orderlies. When Asylums were all the rage so many years ago, Dr. Dante was something of a monster. He hasn't changed much. The good Doctor will make rare appearances throughout the hospital, checking on his children. Nurses, lesser doctors and orderlies will be carrying out his orders in the meantime. Medications, certain treatments, etc. The inmates are very sick, after all, and need their medicine.

2: What is there to do?
Anything you like. An Asylum is a big place, with many rooms, with many many dangerous, sickening, strange things within them...you must always be on the look-out for nurses and orderlies. They aren't your friends. They're your caretakers.

3: How does it work?
Pick a character, make a journal for them, and get to posting. Most journal posts will be just that, journal posts. Patients are allowed a network to communicate with the other patients around the hospital. This comm is very comment oriented, make journals, have your characters run around, make friends. All Log postings need to be labeled correctly.

4: How do they get into the Asylum?
Up to you. They can be brought in overnight, and appear the next morning; dragged in kicking and screaming by two of our lovely orderlies; your pick.

5: Are there ways out?
Yes, though our security is considerably tight, a broken window might occur, a weak door-latch, a distracted guard, a diversion in another wing. However you do it, is up to you! With appropriate Mod-Approval, of course.

6: Can a character die in Hillsmay?
Of course.

7:Can a character be brought back?
For a price set by the dear Doctor.

8: If my character has a power, does it still work there?
Yes, but somewhat muted. And powers, spells, and other such things don't really work on our nurses and employees. You can't inflict harm on a ghost, can you?

9: If I am going on a Hiatus, where do I post it?
