Hello everyone!

My name is Lex, and this is Cordelia Selwynn. She's a fifth year Slytherin prefect. She's actually pretty nice as far as Slytherins go. Though she is from an old wealthy pureblood family, Cordelia is ambitious and independent and wants to achieve things through her own merits rather than because of her family or wealth. She also believes that her social station imposes obligation to others, so she's fairly generous with her time if someone asks her for help.

Of course, being from Slytherin house, her kindness isn't simply for the sake of being kind - she believes it will advance her socially and help her form a fairly impressive network of connections in the long run.

She's got a perfectionist streak a mile wide, and is downright obsessive about getting top marks. The main times one will see Cordelia being anything but pleasant or at least polite is when she's just gotten a bad mark on something. She expects the best of herself, and when she isn't achieving the best, she gets rather surly.

So....friends, enemies, crushes, acquaintances that keep running into each other but rarely talk, etc. I'd love to hear how your characters might interact with her. :)

I'm Mandy, and I have a Dakota and Natalie in fifth year Slytherin whom I... don't think I've actually posted with yet! XD (I should get on that). I would assume they've had some classes together, and be up for discussion as to how close/far they are.

	nods Presumably they've been in classes together. Cordelia makes an effort to at least be polite to everyone, and she's nice to anyone who doesn't annoy the heck out of her. It'd be spiffy if she had friends she was more comfortable with, but we can discuss it. ^^ (Reply to this) (Parent)

	nods I'd imagine that being in the same house, a year apart in age, and both wealthy purebloods, they're probably well acquainted even if they're not the bestest buddies ever. Society events and the like. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Hi there! This is Jade again. :3 I have this journal and evil_wishes. Your character might know Madison since they're fellow prefects. The only character that I have in Slytherin House, I believe, is Aries Malfoy. Reading over Madison's profile, I think Cordelia would probably get along with her well enough. They're both goal oriented and responsible so I can't see them having any problems with one another.

As for Aries, the Selwynn family is amongst the pureblood elite (it's the family Umbridge claims to be descended from when she's got Slytherin's locket) so they're likely acquainted. That, and Prefects are generally around to guide the younger students early on, so she may have done something like help Aries find one of his classes.

...and I think James annoys Cordelia in ways she can't even articulate. XD

I'm not sure how she'd interact with everyone else, though.

'lo there! I'm Cai. I've only got one Slytherin right now, Callisto Alders. I've got to make a couple decisions about her yet (such as whether or not I'm dropping her a year to keep the rivalry between her and Maddy that was going... heh), but she's either 6th or 7th year.

Right now, I'm not positive as to how the two of them would get along--Callisto's kind of watching from on high with a vague disinterest. >.>;;; I'd say they at least know each other, though, as Callisto's also a part of that pure-blooded elite force...

They're probably at least on cordial terms on account of the pureblood elite thing, but other than that, I don't know. Cordelia is very determined to achieve completely on her own merits, and she's not particularly prejudiced against people who aren't pureblood. If cornered into a debate on the subject, she'd probably just say she preferred to judge superiority by personal ability.
