The cast had been absolutely electric tonight, coming off the high of winning the Best Revival Tony on Sunday night, and Jace Shore was no exception. Even though he'd heard the horrible news from Stella about Guys and Dolls' impending closure, and even though he really did feel horrible for his friend, it couldn't dampen the feeling of sheer joy and vibrance that had come over him the second he'd put on his wig and stepped foot on the stage that night. Hair was just that kind of show, though - it lent itself to exuberance, even during the sadder moments. Even his big death scene had felt like a revelation tonight because he felt like he was sharing it with a whole new group of people - people who really appreciated or simply felt right along with him. When the curtain came down for the final time that night, a cheer had risen up amongst the cast, and Jace found himself tackled by an unruly bunch of dirty hippies. The love-fest had always been easy to recreate on stage, though, because they were such a close group of castmates.
The decision to head out to the bar for a nightcap was an easy one, therefore, and once the wigs were put away and the streets were slipped into, most of The Tribe headed down to Joe Allen. Once they arrived, they realized that they weren't the only ones who'd had the idea to make a night of it. People of all shapes, sizes, and professions were milling about the place, including other theater types. Jace and a couple of his friends quickly snagged a table, and Jace offered to head up to the bar to get their first round. He dodged and weaved through the small crowd, pausing to rub elbows with a few people he recognized, until he made his way up to the bar. He slapped his ID down on the bar and leaned over it with a cheeky grin to the male bartender (it seemed that in his exuberance for the evening and in the comfortable setting, he didn't mind bringing out the flirtatious side of himself that he usually saved for people he was friends with...or Riley Hayes, who he still couldn't quite tell if he was serious about his attraction to her or not). "Four of whatever you've got on tap tonight, love," he said, with a quirk of his eyebrows as he surveyed the man. Then, he turned around and leaned against the bar while he waited for the man to return with the drinks. He felt a tap on his shoulder, though, and turned his head to see who'd caught his attention.
