WHO: EVERYONE!!!! WHERE: Some really nice reception hall somewhere in Manhattan. (Sorry I didn't get an actual location but I would assume that the characters got it on their magic invites that Emilie sent out :) ) WHEN: Saturday Evening late after shows get out. Because Emilie and Christian want their friends there to celebrate with them. WHAT: Wedding reception. RATING: God knows. Have at it :)
Note: Sorry this is like novel length. I wanted to get a little wedding description in too. Feel free to branch off into your own threads. Everyone is invited because chances are they know either Emilie or Christian somehow.
After a lot of discussion and debate, Emilie and Christian had decided that they would have the wedding reception late on Saturday night. They knew that a lot of their friends had shows, and though that's what understudies were for, they didn't want everybody to have to take off an entire day. The wedding had been in the afternoon at 3 o clock, and it was everything that Emilie had imagined for her dream wedding.
It hadn't been huge, mostly it was their closest friends and their family, but it had been perfect. For a good part of the morning Emilie's diva side had kicked in. She was running around like a mad woman trying to make sure everything was in its place. She'd fought with her sister and nearly killed her mother but when it all came down to it it was the nervousness of it all getting to her. Actually, things with her mother had ended up going better than she could have even asked for. They'd had a nice talk, something that hadn't happened since Emilie was probably six years old. After what seemed like hours of getting ready it was time to walk down the aisle. Brandon had met her at the room where she was getting ready and offered her some words of wisdom before he led her into the sanctuary.
As the doors opened Emilie felt the tears well up in her eyes. It had been less than 24 hours since she'd last seen Christian, but now she was about to dedicate herself to him for the rest of her life. Her future brother in law gave her away and then she stood and recited her vows to Christian. They'd decided to write their own. With five years of history together they were sure they could come up with something unique to say. Taking his hand in hers she looked into his eyes and she could see that he was happy, excited, and nervous all at the same time. Occasionally she had to pause and laugh, or swallow to keep from crying. "Christian Jagger, if someone had told me that the night of Ryan's 21st birthday party would be the night I found the guy I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, I would have laughed at them, but I did find him that night. I fell for you the first time we danced together, you know that. I promise that for the rest of my life my heart is yours and no one else's, but you've had it since day one. I am honored to be your wife."
She slipped the ring on his finger, after the finished and her hand was shaking. During his vows she couldn't keep her tears from falling. Lifting her hand to his cheek she smiled and looked into his eyes and well, she barely waited for the priest to give them permission before she kissed him.
The hours between the reception and the ceremony were spent with their families and then with each other, getting ready to go on their honeymoon.
Emile had changed from her wedding dress. Into another dress that was slightly more comfortable. The smile hadn't faded from her face all day though. On Christian's arm, she walked into the reception hall and as soon as they did she heard Brandon's voice over a microphone. "Well, look they're finally here! Were you guys working on that baby already?" He winked at them then laughed even though they both shot him a playful glare. "Nah I'm just kidding. Everybody, can I present to you my brother and sister in law Mr. and Mrs. Christian Jagger." She squealed a little bit to herself hearing that and gave Christian a kiss on the cheek before they took the floor for their first dance.
