As I understand it, it's much more difficult for mudbloods people who aren't aware of the possibility that they might be anything out of the ordinary. If instead of inheriting their great-great-grandfather's big ears they get his magic, unexpectedly. Was it like that for you? At my school, we tried to tell people like that what they needed to know to fit in, in our community.
That's unfortunate. I don't know your situation, but if you were still at school it seems unfair that you should have had such a burden laid on you. There are terrifying things out there, and being hopeful won't stop them.
