Wonderful! I do hope that you get to see your friend again, even if he and I wouldn't get along.
It is difficult to choose a favourite poem! My favourite poet is Amraphel Talbot who was a wizard writing in the late 19th century. I like One Last Spell but it is very tragic. It is about a man burying his lost love. Of his more cheerful poems I like Ten Thousand Trinkets which is about everything he sees on a visit to a night market.
