I was referencing traumatic brain injuries. While I haven't met anyone I imagine who has experienced what you have, I have seen my share of people with TBIs in my medical work. The brain and nerves take a lot longer to heal than skin and bone. It can take up to two years in an unenhanced human to see how far the brain can heal itself after injury. I'd imagine you'd be similar unless you have things implanted to impede connections. Though I'd assume if that were the case you'd not be improving over time or if you did it'd stop at a much more rudimentary level than you seem to be at.
Sorry. That was a bit much. I'm not a medical doctor. I have my doctorate in nuclear physics and biochemistry and studied biomedical sciences. I have functioned as a field doctor in underdeveloped countries but not in the states.
