What I'm going on about is your whole 'I'm in charge now' attitude. In case you haven't been paying attention, there are already some god's, angels, demons, even a couple of your brothers here. A fair number of assorted supernaturals. Not to mention those of us you call Midgardians with various powers that might surprise you. All living more or less peacefully together. Many with prior combat experience. Most with no desire for a self-appointed despot.
And the one thing you don't seem to get about it all, is that you can't leave. Go ahead and try, I'll wait...
Didn't work, did it? You can retire gracefully, like most of us here have, Or we can make that short amount of your life that will remain a sheer, unmitigated hell. It would only take one of us getting lucky once, and you're out of the goddess business for good. Quite a few of us don't rely on luck, because we have more than a bit of skill at that sort of work.
Men make gods in their own image. When they are no longer believed in, gods fade away. We Midgardians worship other things now. Your time is past. That offer for dinner is still open.
