What makes you think my people ever considered the muggle mistreatment of women to be right? Two of the founders of our most prestigious school were women. That was almost a thousand years ago, and they taught far more than embroidery. Ambitious women who wanted to better their situation held roles in our government centuries before muggles permitted their women to vote. We are entirely equal under the law.
I do not think it is a virtue to be able to adapt to whatever society you find yourself in, even if it offends you. How then do you know what you stand for?
Of course you will do what pleases you. It isn't my wish or my place to lecture you on morality. What I intended to say was that you cannot expect me to accept something I find abhorrent as unremarkable simply because muggles in another time do so.
