And by 'people' you very clearly only mean 'muggles.' It's telling, especially after what you had to say about division. In the century I am from, people are still free to ride in magical carriages or write letters or light fires if it pleases them, with no-one to tell them that they are wrong. They are also free to join the muggle world and make use of their technologies, if they so wish. It is a system that works, with very little intrusion of one society upon the other.
