He's a bright enough lad, and generally entertaining to have around. He has, as do many of us who are not gifted in the subject and had some hard work in front of us to master the subject, a strong dislike for the unfortunate way Arithmancy is taught at Hogwarts. It wasn't until I did some advanced studies in Vienna with a Master that I began to understand how to apply Arithmancy to real-world problems. I'm doing my best to help Arcturus get to that stage without having to suffer through the usual preliminaries of the Art.
As far as modern technology goes, he will either get over my use of it, or he won't. While, as I mentioned above, I do enjoy passing on some of what I've learned over the years, I do not plan to totally remodel my behavior to suit the whims of a child from a rather unenlightened time.
