Bill/Ten
Oi, I'm not going to go and get sloshed. When I do imbibe, I do it in moderation, thank you. We're going to a pub just to prove that point, now.
Bad is an understatement. Whenever I've run into myself, we tend to pretend that one never happened. Course, I did travel with some of the best friends I've had, those days. The aforementioned Mel being one of them. I really don't know what they were thinking in agreeing to travel with me. What can I say? It's a quirk of this regeneration. Bear in mind, I literally exist because the Time Lord me didn't want to regenerate yet.
He named himself, of course. I didn't particularly like calling him by that name either. I can't say I blame you for concentrating on your A levels. I certainly didn't follow the politics after the fact. Granted, if I payed more attention to Earth politics, I might have been able to stop him being elected in the first place, but... Can't change it now. Not that.
Oh, no, I'm sure we'll get back eventually. We'd have to, otherwise your Doctor and I wouldn't exist. The timeline can repair a lot of damage, but that's one thing that couldn't be changed so easily. Our previous self has to get back so that events can happen the way they did to bring us here in the first place. Eyebrows- I mean, Twelve and I have been discussing it. Way we figure it, we probably just won't remember being here. The main worry of the ones in charge here seems to be about others finding out about Preya. If they erase our memories and return us to precisely when we were, that won't be a problem.
Not that I'm keen on the idea of having my memories erased, but it seems like the most likely scenario, and it'll prevent any damage to the timeline. He can't change the way things were supposed to go if he doesn't remember meeting you early at all.
