Oh, so he wanted answers but he wasn't willing to accept the truth? How could Loki tell him about Preya without bringing the so called supernatural into it? It wasn't possible. However, he could use science as well to explain things. Of course most of the science was hypothetical bordering on theoretical and even then it took a certain kind of mind to accept. The theory of other worlds, parallel universes.
"Oh, dear dear Sherlock, you are in for quite a rude awakening" he purred, a smile lifting the corners of his lips. Those emerald green eyes almost seemed to light up with joy and mischief all over again. "One step at a time. There is no rush after all, is there?"
Oh how the dynamic was shifting once more! Loki had answers that Sherlock needed. Loki held wisdom that this other man desired, that he seemed to want more than anything. Loki did enjoy holding the key out of reach. Still, there was a lot Loki did not understand about Preya either. Things that didn't make sense. But still, he had more experience of the place than Sherlock and this other man was just another lowly mortal, wasn't he?
"Shall we begin with Preya?" he asked. It wasn't a real question, more rhetorical, but still he asked it for the fun of it. "You wished to know how I arrived?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. He squinted his eyes ever so slightly and smiled as he turned his head to look away briefly. "It is a shame..." he said, holding his hand up. From seemingly nowhere, a coin appeared between his pointed and middle finger. He casually turned the coin over between his fingers, rolling it back and forth.
"The truth is in front of you, but you would deny it. I did not choose to come to Preya, unlike most of the others who came here. Some came here looking for a new start, some were running from something, others came with the false idea that there was something here for them, be it answers or otherwise" he shrugged. "I came here by accident, Mr Holmes..." he turned his sight towards Sherlock, the coin now held between the tips of his pointer and middle fingers.
He lay his other hand flat, as if offering Sherlock something, but he held nothing. Instead, an image flickered into being in the palm of his hand. It was green and hazy but still very much clear. The image was that of Loki in disguise as someone else entirely. It wasn't as if he simply wore different clothing, his sorcery allowed him to become the person. He was in disguise as a guard, clad from head to toe in armour. The image continued to move, the disguised Loki moving towards a gateway of sorts, but instead of arriving where he intended, he arrived in the Forest in Everdale, Preya. The figure dropped his disguise to reveal Loki, looking around, confused. At that point, Loki made the illusion vanish.
