Re: Arcturus and Cassian
This is unexpected, and Arcturus blinks in surprise. Then, just as quickly, he accepts it. He can't remember where exactly Cassian said he was from, but he knew that it was a place he'd never heard of. It had to be very far away, and perhaps there a dog would be a strange, exotic animal, like a nundu was to him.
Dogs were much safer than nundus. Arcturus glanced about, seeing if he could find an example to point out, but seeing no dogs in their immediate vicinity he just looked back to Cassian and gave him an encouraging smile. 'They're domestic animals. Canines. I'm sure you'll like them.' Which might help, or might be equally meaningless, but he'd tried.
At Cassian's request, his eyes narrow a little in suspicion. If this is the moment where it's suggested that they bring an adult along to make sure it's safe, he's going to have some fairly strong words. Arcturus knows how that always ends up – the adult takes charge, and then it isn't an adventure at all but a series of lessons out-of-doors. That isn't the plan.
'It depends,' he says, cautiously, 'on whom it might be that you want to bring. And why.'
