It was genuinely nice to hear Will just talk like a normal kid. To see him smile and hear him talk about his family, his happy memories. That was what kids should be like. Happy, innocent, content. Azrael felt bad that the kid couldn't go home, couldn't see his family, but a part of him knew that wouldn't be forever. That one day he'd get to see his family again, in this life or the afterlife. Azrael knew he could look into the kids future, but he didn't want to. He didn't want to intrude. It wasn't something he did with people very often anyway.
"Yeah. I mean, not like chocolate sweet, but it's sweet and creamy and kinda refreshing." he replied thoughtfully. "I'm not sure how to describe it. You just gotta try it for yourself" he smiled.
A few people walked by, carrying books and chatting about how relieved they were to be free from class, while others walked past with the opposite appearances and vocal expressions. Azrael chortled to himself and shook his head as they continued to walk. The diner was in sight now at least.
"Okay, so we can go there if you want. Or we can go somewhere else. Up to you, kid" Azrael offered, pointing over at the Diner not far off in the distance.
