Who: Gabriel and Cath What: This is a date. Where: Ravenmoore When: Saturday 1/6/2018 Rating: Low, probably? tbd?
So, Cath had gotten her heart back — probably all nice and neat and bizarrely in a box or something. A real Baby-Jesus Christmas Miracle, as far as gifts were concerned. And she’d already had it re-installed via Castiel, apparently. Gabriel was doing a good job of pretending he wasn’t slightly offended at not being asked to help out in an instance like this — so good a job, in fact, that he’d believe it himself in another few minutes or so. He was one of the first heavenly host, one of the first anything at all, in fact, and so he was probably better at holding a grudge than most — but he was also pretty damn great at picking and choosing what he felt like being bitter about.
A few million years was a pretty good teacher.
Anyway, who’d put it back wasn’t really the point here. How it’d make Cath different was what Gabriel was interested in. Because, frankly, he’d been interested before all that. So he was curious to see if that’d change any. Somehow, he doubted it.
So, yeah, this was a date. Even if he wasn’t super positive both parties were aware. No problem though. It’d come up eventually.
For now, Gabriel snapped himself into being properly presentable (no need to look in a mirror) and found himself on the stoop of Cath’s opulent home — frozen rose bushes behind him and brass knocker directly in front of his nose.
