Where: House
What: Opening gifts
Why: It’s Christmas
Status: Complete
Ratings: Cute
It was Christmas. It was cold and on top of that, it was snowing outside. All Cora could really do was stop and stare. She was mesmerized by the snow, especially since Beacon Hills didn’t have anything like this. “Stiles!” She called out to wake him up. Already moving into the kitchen as she started making hot chocolate for them to enjoy while Stiles opened the gifts she had for him under the tree.
That cake she made would be placed on the counter with a note stating it was for him, from her.
It did get Cora thinking, about maybe opening up her own bake shop like Stiles has suggested. It was something she would look into for the new year.
---
Stiles had been dead asleep until he heard Cora shout his name. That made him bolt up, look around half asleep, and say, "What? Who died? What's going on?"
After he fully woke up, he got up and went downstairs. "You're worse than an alarm clock," he half-joked, but hey, hot chocolate. He happily took that. And the second he saw the cake, he might have started to drool. It looked good enough to eat for breakfast.
"So, what are we doing first? Eating or gifts?"
*
“Shut up. You know I’m better than any alarm clock you have.” She said with a smile on her features. “We can do both.” She said as she came to move towards the cake. “The question is, do you want actual breakfast or do you want the cake I baked you?” She asked since she says the way he eyed it.
It did make her happy to see that. So the idea of a bakery was starting to sound more and more possible. “Come on, you sit while I get you a slice.” She said with a smile on her features. It was good to have him back, and normal. Especially after all the crazy.
---
"Okay, yeah, you're better than an alarm," he told her, smiling. "Ooh, multitasking this morning. Sounds good to me!" He really didn't care which they did first. Although, that cake looked very tempting. "Do I really have to answer that question?" he asked, glancing up and over at Cora. "Give me the caaaaaaaake."
He didn't need to be told twice. He sat down and waited for the slice of cake to be placed in front of him. "So, it's still just us here?"
*
She laughed shaking her head as she cut a perfect slice for Stiles as well as bringing him that hot chocolate. When he asked if it was just them, she nodded her head. “So far yeah.” She said as she came to take a seat on the floor next to him while he sat on the couch.
Already she looked at the gifts and came to grab the thin long one that was under the tree. “Here, open this one.” She said with a bright smile on her face since it was one of her gifts for him. She just hoped he would like it. Since it was the original blueprint of the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars, framed.
--
"Thanks!" he said as he took the plate and took a bite of the cake. He didn't want to waste any time. And, as usual, it was good. "Oh," was all he said. He still hated that they fought. Even worse he hated that it was over texts. He'll just have to talk Scott later or whenever he came home.
"Oooh, okay." He set the plate down, but took a huge bite of cake first, and then grabbed the present that Cora was handing over to him. Before he opened it, he looked at Cora. "You have to open one at the same time," he told her. "Grab the small box that's near the back."
*
When Stiles took that bite it always made her smile. But when he instructed her to get the box in the back she would move to do just that. Once that gift was in her hand she moved back to sit next to him. Her frame turning to face him. “Alright. On three. “ Is all Cora said as she came to look at Stiles.
“One… Two… Three!” She said eagerly as she came to pull the wrapping paper off that small box and come to open the gift Stiles had picked out her for.
--
On three, Stiles ripped the paper off of the gift. At first, he wasn't sure what it was, but when he got more of the paper off it was pretty clear what it was. "This is...awesome," he happily said as he looked it over.
He was so into looking over the print that he almost forgot to look up and over at Cora to see her expression with the thing that he had gotten for her. "Like it?"
*
Once that box was removed of its wrapper and opened, Cora’s mouth dropped open. Only to take out that silver necklace and read its engravement. That smile over her features as she came to look at Stiles. “I love it.” Is all she said as she came to give him a kiss on the lips.
Already she turned around to have Stiles put the necklace on her. Once on she smiled once more as she touched it. “Here.” She said grabbing that small box that had his name on it. “Heres your last one from me.” She said handing him that small box with her own smile over her features.
--
"I'm glad." He kissed her back when she kissed him. "I couldn't make up my mind. It was between that one and a different one." The one he picked seemed like the better one, though and Cora did seem to like it. He put it on for her when she silently asked him to.
"Ooh, more?" He took the box, smiling. "I wonder what it is..." He didn't want to wait. He ripped off the paper, tossed it with the others that had been tossed to the floor and opened the box. "I'm detecting a theme here," he looked up, grinning. "I love my stuff, thanks." He leaned down and kissed her. "You have some other stuff under the tree. You'll just have to dig for it."
*
When he said she had another present Cora arched a brow. “Making me work for my presents.” She said teasing as she came to crawl lightly under that tree and look for whatever had her name on it. It wasn’t long before she came back with it and sat next to Stiles.
Already that gift came to be pulled open as she looked to Stiles. “That cake is also your gift.” She said snickering lightly.
--
"Yes, I am! I couldn't make it too easy for you." He set his gifts off to the side and grabbed his plate with the cake and took a bite as he watched Cora crawl around, trying to find the rest of her gifts. "It's a good gift," he said around a mouthful of cake. "Oh yeah, there's one more gift...but it's not down here. Beary has it." He flashed her a smile before taking another bite of yummy cake.
*
“Why does Beary have my gift!?” She said sounded upset, but that smile came across her lips as she watched him enjoy that cake once more. Already she brushed her hair from her face. “Well, Beary better give it up!” She said coming to her feet as she looked at Stiles. “Also, I think I’m going to do what you suggested.”
She said lightly. “About opening a bakery. I just wanna talk to my dad about it first.” She said with a firm nod of her head as she smiled at him and held out her hand. She was happy she was able to touch him again and took complete advantage of that. “Take me to my gift.” She said with a snicker leaving her lips.
--
Stiles shrugged his shoulders at Cora's question. "Because he does," he replied. "Oh, well, I guess you'll have to go talk to Beary about that."
He looked up when Cora stood up. "Oh yeah?" It took him a moment to remember what exactly he had suggested. Oh, yeah, the bakery thing. "Why do you have to talk to your dad about it? If you wanna do it, do it." He stood up, after taking the last bite of his cake. He set the plate down on the coffee table and then led the way upstairs and to their bedroom.
*
“Because it’s a huge step. And I want to see if Moira wants to do it with me since she likes to bake also.” She said as she came to watch Stiles finish that last piece. “I and Beary are going to have some words.” She said laughing as she came to take his hand and make her way back up to the bedroom.
Once inside, she would look to that corner where that giant bear was. “Okay, Beary, gimme my present.” She said walking towards that large stuffed animal.
---
"Oh right. Forgot she likes to bake. You should definitely see if she'd want to do it with you."
Once they were in the bedroom, he sat down on the edge of the bed, smirking as Cora started talking to the giant stuffed bear. "He said that it's behind his back and you have to get it yourself."
*
“Rude!” Is all she said laughing as she came to look at the overly giant bear. What came next might possibly be the cutest sound Cora ever made as she squealed loudly and came stumbling out from behind the bear hugging that mini bear of her very own tightly as she stumbled to the floor.
“Oh my god I love it!” She said cuddling that bear as she came to look up at Stiles. That bright smile on her features. “I will call him Lil bear!” She said as she came to her feet with that bear in her arms. But she would soon lay it against Beary as she came to tackle Stiles back onto the mattress and kiss his lips.
“You are so amazing. How did I get so lucky to end up with you?” She said as she came to stare down at Stiles.
--
Stiles seriously wished he had been taking a video of this moment right now. This was probably the only time he would ever see Cora act this girly. "Beary and Lil Bear sounds like crime fighting team."
Before he could do or say anything else he was tackled onto his back and staring up at Cora. Smiling, while also kissing her back. "Hm, I don't know. I sometimes ask myself the same exact question." He gave her a quick kiss before asking, "Soooo, I take it you liked everything?"
*
“That’s because they are crime fighters.” She said laughing as she came to press her head against his chest. Her hands wrapping around him. “Are you kidding me? I love everything you gave me.” She said as she smiled listening to his heartbeat.
“Guess we were lucky.” She said about them ending up together here. And in reality, Cora wouldn’t change anything about it. “I love you. Merry Christmas.” She said as she came to look down at Stiles now.
---
"They're going to need costumes now," he joked. Hearing her say that she loved everything only made him smile even more if that were possible.
"I guess we are," he said. It really was luck. Lots of luck. "Love you, too. And happy gift day, I mean Merry Christmas."
