Moira had had a marvelous time with everyone visiting. She tried to keep them with nibbles and beverages without seeming to be playing hostess. This was Gideon's home. She was a guest as much as the rest of them so she didn't want to pretend airs she had no right to.
She'd been half drifting to sleep against Gideon, warmed by his body and the fire, lulled by the silence. A sleepy smile seemed to be a permanent fixture on her face when Gideon spoke.
"Hmm?" she said as she cracked her eyes open to look up at him. "Almost?"
