His intentions were somewhat pure, merely wanting to meet new people, but this was Moriarty. His mind was always going a thousand miles per hour, always thinking of what roads could lead where, and his mind could have gotten a bit overwhelmed at the idea of new connections. Yet that small room, that large cup of tea in front of him, he simply wanted to enjoy the moment for what it was to be. It was a blank slate of sorts, and the tea was spot on in this cafe. Lovely meeting for an afternoon.
When she arrived, he had been sitting at the table for a few minutes, having pulled in a short time earlier. He ordered a simple cup of black tea, with no cream or sugar. There was a basket of complimentary biscotti cookies, twirled in chocolate and temptingly sitting in the center of the table. His stare passed over them and he was inclined to grab one but stopped once he saw her escorted in. "Hello, Diana," he greeted warmly as he stood, moving to her side of the table so he could pull out her chair. Then he offered his hand as a gentleman. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
