Who: Lydia and Mitch Where: Their Mitch’s place When: Friday night (Backdated to 11/3/2017) What: Eating take out Why: Lydia didn’t want to cook Status: Complete Ratings: Low
After texting with Scott on and off, Lydia had ordered Chinese for the night. Her phone tossed off to the side as she came to climb out that couch. Tonight, she didn’t feel like that cooking, so ordering out is what they both agreed on. Lydia had been at Mitch’s place for the past few days, and despite the nightmares, it wasn’t so bad. It made making dinner and cleaning his wound a lot easier.
Her red hair would be tied back in a ponytail, as she wore one of his black tees and boy shorts of hers. She couldn’t help but think about what Scott told her, that she should embrace being happy. But after Halloween, she was scared something else would happen, if not to her and her friends than to Mitch. She didn’t know if she could handle that news. But for now she pushed the thoughts out her head as she went into the kitchen to grab a few plates, but with Lydia being so short she had to climb up onto the counter to grab the dishes.
*** Mitch had pretty much been giving Lydia some space. She didn't need to be smothered, which was why he was in the living room, while she talked to her friends in the other room. He did go to check on her since he heard her fall to the floor all because of what Scott was saying to her. Sometimes he wondered what he got himself into by being around Lydia so much. But he would honestly not change anything. He liked her. A lot. There was just something about her that had a hold on him.
He set his own phone down when he saw Lydia go into the kitchen. He stood up and went in there just in time to see her climbing up onto the counter to reach the plates. "You know, you could have asked me to get those."
***
“I can do it.” She replied as she grabbed the two plates and placed them on the counter. Her frame turning around to look at Mitch as she smiled and held her arms out. “Help me down?” She said giving him an innocent look and a slight pout on her plump lips. If he did come to help her down, she would just smile as she felt her feet touch the ground. “Thanks.” She replied as she was about to lean up and kiss him.
But that knock stopped her just as her lips were about to press against his. A deep sigh escaped her lips. “Damn.” Is all she said as she moved towards the door with the money from her purse. Already paying for their takeout she would smile towards him. “Dinner’s here.” She said with another smirk as she came to place the bags on the counter.
*** "Okay," was all he said as he kept his eye on her. Just in case she fell, he would be ready for it. But she didn't. "I could..." he said, smiling as he walked over to her. He placed his hands on her hips and then helped her down. "You're welcome." He hadn't let go of her, leaning in, about to kiss her when the knock on the door interrupted. "Bad timing," he muttered as he watched Lydia walk away to answer the door.
He grabbed the plates. "Bring it over to the table," he told her as he walked to the table and set the plates down. "We can just put it all out on the table and get what we want." That seemed like the easiest thing to do.
***
“So demanding. What did I say about that?” She said teasing as she came to bring the food over to the table and began to take everything out and place it on the table for them to grab it. But she came to move back into the kitchen as she grabbed him a beer and a bottle of water for herself. She also made sure to grab him a fork, since Lydia knew how to eat with chopsticks, she wasn’t sure if he did.
As she came back, she would come to place the beer and fork before him. Only to open the lids of the food and look around for what she wanted to try her mouth on first. Her bottom lip coming to being attacked by her teeth as she looked and brushed a few red strands from her face. But as she came to glance over at Mitch she held out with the chopsticks a piece of baby carrot from the veggie delight box for him to take a bite out of.
***
"That you love it and that you wish that I would do it more often," he jokingly replied, smiling when he finished. As she headed towards the kitchen again, he started to slowly open up the containers that held all of the food. "Thanks," he said when she set the items down. He could use chopsticks, but he didn't feel like messing with them, so a fork was fine.
He sat down and started to put a little of this and that on his plate. It all looked good and it was too hard to pick just one or two things.
He leaned over and took the offered carrot from her chopstick. "I know you said that you don't want to talk about anymore, but I do want to ask: are you feeling any better?"
***
When he said that, all she could do was roll her eyes at him. “You wish I loved it. Besides, I’m pretty sure you don’t know how to dominate with me anyways.” She said teasing as she came to take a seat once he took the carrot from her chopstick. A smile was given to him for the moment. But once he asked that question, all she could do was exhale for the moment.
“I’m okay as long as I stay away.” She added honestly since she was having nightmares. And staying at Mich’s made it hard for her to scream, so she had to keep it bottled up. Which took a lot of willpower she didn't know she had.
*** Mitch just smiled, even more, when Lydia rolled her eyes. "Maybe I should show you..."
He knew asking her if she were okay was kind of going against what she asked, but he just wanted to make sure that she really was okay. Waiting for her to say something was pointless. He noticed. Which is why he would just outright ask her. "Stay away? Do you mean from home? Or something else?"
***
“From home for a bit, I think. Since it was in Everdale that it happened.” She replied as she began to eat a few of the items off her plate. But once he said he would show her how dominate he should be Lydia couldn’t help but laugh slightly.
“Okay, show me.” Is all she would say as she came to wink in his direction. But as she came to bite her lower lip for the moment, she soon came to take a piece of pork off his plate and claim it for herself as she smiled in his direction. Only to give him a slight wink.
*** "Makes sense." Getting away from the area where it happened meant there was nothing around that could bring up that night. "You can stay here as long as you need to." He has said it before, but he felt like he needed to say it again. She didn't need to leave at any given time. She could stick around for however long she needed. He owed to her with all the help that she had been given him since the moment they met.
"Later on I will," he flashed her a quick smile before he leaned over and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "And why are you stealing food from my plate?" Not that he cared all that much. He just wanted to see what answer she would give him.
*** She came to nod her head when he made that offer a second time. Only to smirk. “Careful sounds like you want me to move in. And I don’t think we’re at that level yet with this relationship.” She said teasing him as she came to laugh and shake her head. Though, when he kissed her cheek it caught her slightly off guard. Mainly because she wasn’t expecting it. But she smiled either way because it was nice.
“Because I can?” She said teasing him as she went to steal another piece of pork from his plate. “Why later? Why not now?” She teased him a bit as she brushed her hair from her face. “I mean, if you can’t I get it. I know I can be quite intimidating.” She said laughing lightly as she ate his food and hers this time.
***
He laughed a little. "I just want you to be okay when you do decide that you can go back home." And if it took her a little while longer than she thought, he would be okay with that.
"Because you're a brat." He reached over with his fork and stole some orange chicken from off of her plate. If she could steal from his pile of food then he could do the exact same. He smiled at her before eating the bit of food he stole.
He shook his head. "You're not intimidating. Not one bit." Even if others saw her that way, he didn't. He'd gone after some pretty intimidating people, but it never really got to him. They were just people. And all people bled and died all the same.
*** “Hey hey hey!” Is all she was able to protest about him stealing her chicken as she came to glare at him for the moment. “No stealing my food, you got that.” She said demandingly as she took his pork once more and popped it into her mouth before he could stop her.
“I think it’s because you know you can’t be all demanding of me I just let you think you are.” She replied as she teased him slightly for the moment. Coming to take a sip of her water to wash down some of the food as she ate at her veggies and rice soon after that. Though, she made sure to have green eyes stare at Mitch on and off.
*** "Hey, hey, hey, yourself." She could glare all she wanted. All it did was make him reach over and steal some broccoli from off her plate next. "You're stealing mine. It's fair game." He flashed her a quick smile before eating what he stole.
"Is that right?" he asked, not believing her whatsoever. He continued to eat what he could since Lydia kept picking off from his plate. Whenever she would look his way, he'd smile a small smile. "We should go out tomorrow. Even if it's just for a walk." He couldn't keep on hiding and Lydia probably shouldn't hide the whole time either. It did nobody any good.
*** She came to pout in his direction but soon smiled when he mentioned going for a walk. “I like that idea. You’re getting too pale.” She replied as she came to use the chopstick to poke his chest playfully. “Plus, your shoulder is healing up nicely.” She added as she gave him a firm nod. “I think it’s a good idea to work on it now.” She added as she came to finish off the last few bites of food from her plate before he could take any more.
Once her plate was done she would glance over at him once more. “You look nice when you smile.” She said lightly as she came to think for a moment. He looked even nice when he slept, but that was going to be her own kept secret. “Where do you wanna go for a walk? The park?” She asked since it was the least stressful location she could think of for them.
*** Mitch wasn't going to steal from off her plate anymore. Not unless she did it to him. Mostly he just ate what he had, which wasn't much. "Am I?" If he were getting pale, then he definitely needed to start getting outside and not sticking to the apartment so much. "It is. I still need to be careful." He didn't want to make a wrong move and have to start all over again or actually end up the hospital. He was trying to stay as far away from one as possible. "Are you saying I should start physical therapy on it?"
He glanced up. "I do, huh?" He knew he didn't smile a lot. He never really had much to smile about before. Now, though, with Lydia. It almost made him feel normal. Like the past few years hadn't happened. "Hm, yeah, I was thinking the park," he said before finishing off the rest of his food. "Unless you don't want to."
*** Once both plates were done, Lydia came to a stand. Only to come and stand between his legs once he turned to the side to face her. Her lower lip bitten at once more. Something Lydia did often when around Mitch it seems. Her hand reached out to lightly run through his black hair.
A slight smirk played on her lips as she leaned down and pressed her mouth against his, since she never did get the chance to give him that kiss. As she came to leave her lips against his, she moved a bit closer to his frame, as her hands came to rest on his shoulders, very lightly since she knew he was still recovering from his injury. It wasn’t long before she finally broke the kiss and came to give him a soft smile, before grabbing the dishes and moving to the kitchen with them.
“The park sounds good. Fresh air and sunlight will be good for you. For both of us actually.” She said as she came to glance at her phone that went off for the moment. “Long as we’re back before it gets dark. It’s a full moon tomorrow.” She stated slightly.
*** Mitch looked up at her as he placed his hands on Lydia’s hips. He was going to ask her what was bugging her. Or what did she have on her mind because it seemed like whenever she chewed on her bottom lip it meant something was bugging her or it was something was on her mind. Usually. Her playful smirk made him smile before he kissed her back. He could honestly do this forever with her. She was kind of addicting. And when she started to pull away, he almost tightened his grip on her, but he ended up letting her move away.
“We’ll be back before dark.” He would have made a joke out of needing to be home before it got dark, but after everything that had happened lately, he decided to keep it to himself. They would definitely make it back to the apartment before the sun fell out of the sky. “Looks like we have enough leftovers to pick at all night,” he said as he stood up and started close up the containers that still had food in them.
*** When he placed his hands on her hips. It caused Lydia to moan lightly in his mouth before breaking the kiss. Once he started closing the cartons she nodded. “Another night of no cooking sounds fine by me.” She said teasing as she came to follow him into the kitchen to put the things away.
Once inside the kitchen, she came to sit up on the counter while he walked around putting things away. Once more, her bottom lip would be nibbled at as she came to grab Mitch by his shirt when he walked by her. Her hands coming to brush through his hair once more as she brought him down to press her lips against his once more.
She was happy being around Mitch, and maybe that’s what scared her. They had no title, and in a way, they didn’t need any. Since things just seem to be so natural with them, since the first day she showed up at his door. As her hands came down from the back of his neck, that came over to his shirt as she tugged it for him to pull it off.
*** “I guess this means tomorrow night is leftovers night.”
After going back and forth in the kitchen, he was getting tired of it, at least this was his last trip to the fridge and even it wasn't he had been grabbed by Lydia, which he did not mind at all. He looked up at her, a small smile crossing his lips.
He placed his hands on her thighs and kissed her back. It seemed like they were pretty much picking up where they left off at the table. He got the hint and pulled away. He quickly pulls off his shirt and set it down on the counter before he moved in and kissed her again.
*** As his shirt came off, Lydia came to push Mitch back, slightly so she could get a good look at his exposed chest. She wanted to see just how different he was from Stiles, and so far he was different in every way possible, which Lydia did appreciate. Already she came to bite her lower lip once more as she brushed her red hair from her face and came to look up at Mitch, as her legs wrapped around his waist for the moment.
“Just so you know, I like you. A lot.” She said lightly as she came to let her fingers trail down that happy trail of hair that disappeared into his jeans. She came to exhale deeply as she came to look up at Mitch once more, while her hand snaked up his neck as her fingers raked over his stubble and soon teased at his hair.
“You know, the scruffy look is growing on me.” She replied with a slight smirk.
*** Mitch would have stayed close to Lydia, but she had pushed him back, so he took a step back and watched her as she pretty much gave him the once over. He didn’t say anything, though, just looked at her with a raised eyebrow. It wasn’t like this was the first time she’d seen him without his shirt. So, what was she looking for, exactly?
He took a step forward again and wrapped his arm back around Lydia, pulling her close again. He looked up into her green eyes, never once looking away even with the way she was touching him. “Oh yeah? Well, I like you a lot, too.”
He laughed a little. “Good to know since this is kinda my look.”
***
Lydia blushed slightly when he said he liked her back, and that was enough for her right now. But she couldn’t help laugh when he said it was his look. “Good.” Is all she said as she came to tease at his hair and bring her hands to rest on his hips as well while she kept her frame on the edge of the counter. Her legs coming to stay wrapped around him.
“You, are going to be trouble.” She teased as she pulled him down to her and brought her lips to press against his once again as she let her hands slide down off his side and come to lock her fingers with his. The kiss this time wasn’t heated or rough. But rather something almost innocent and sweet.
*** “You’re blushing,” he told her as he reached up and tucked a piece of hair that had been falling into her face. “Good? Well, I guess I can say that I’m happy that you approve.”
He gave her a fake look of surprise. “Me? I’m not trouble. I think it’s you that will be trouble.” If she could tease, so could he. He kissed her back and held her hands when she linked them together. But after a few, he let go of hands and wrapped an arm around her and pulled her off of the counter. Her legs were still wrapped around his waist and he had a hold on her, so he wasn’t going to drop her. He was tired of being in the kitchen, which is why he started to walk towards the bedroom.
*** Once her frame was lifted up off the counter, Lydia couldn’t help but snicker into Mitch’s mouth as he leads her off into the bed, her legs tightly placed around his waist as she made sure to keep that kiss held while the door shut behind them for the night.
