Bucky hadn't always been paranoid. He hadn't always assumed the worst of people. But circumstances had taught him that people usually wanted something in return for any kindness. Still, she hadn't exactly answered the question about whether she'd asked Steve out as a date or not.
"Agendas aren't crazy. Agendas are rational. Offering something out of the goodness of your heart or your excess of happiness is crazy. Agendas make sense." He could certainly understand someone wanting to get to know Steve, even help Steve or make him happy after all the things he'd done for humanity at large. The fact that he was kind and gorgeous didn't hurt, either.
That still didn't explain why she'd want to be friendly to him, though. "So what about that Loki guy. Do you want to be pals with him, too?" he asked.
