"I don't know if I am. Sometimes I am, sometimes I'm no?" She shrugged. "It's a lot to get used to, and the Salvatores were utter dicks so I thought I'd get help somewhere else. So I guess that's why I'm here." Vicki blinked at his explanation, and shook her head. "Three weeks ago I didn't think vampires were real, and now you're a werewolf? When did our lives get so weird?"
At what Tyler said next, the hope in her eyes faded away. "Oh." Her response was flat, disappointment obvious even though she felt confused about it at the same time - emotions hadn't seemed nearly this complicated when she had been human, and she absently crossed her arms over herself, a part of her wondering suddenly why they were even talking to one another.
"Is it a rebound if we were together before?" But she shook her head before he could answer, letting her eyes slide towards the window. "Don't answer that. I don't know, Ty - I guess we can?" This was all so weird - he seemed completely different from the Tyler she remembered, and it was hard to merge the two together in her mind. Finally, she looked at him again and gave a faint smile, then shrugged. "Sure. Why not."
