Harry Hook was having a blast! Over the last two weeks since he had arrived in Preya the young pirate captain had been working hard to get the lay of the land and the sea. When he first showed up just off the coast aboard his ship the Lost Revenge he had been without a crew. Yet after a run in with the local pirates...well it had been easy enough to sway a few to his side. Especially after he hooked their former captain through the neck. Still even with a half dozen pirates now under his command Harry knew he needed a few more. The last time around his crew was over a dozen strong, and if he wanted to lay proper siege to the other ships out there, well he'd need a few more sword arms first.
Luckily a few of his new crew members pointed Hook in the right direction; so after docking at the port on the coast of Everdale, he and his men headed ashore. Most were sent to gather much needed supplies from the marketplace, while Harry and two others made their way to Kingsby Tavern. With a grin the pirate strolled into the place as if he owned it; shoving aside the few folks who got in between him and the bar. Oh one or two started to shout and curse at him, yet after drawing his sword and running one of the would be protesters through...well the rest quickly backed away and tried to give Harry a wide berth.
That almost maniacal laugh of his echoed out across the place, and with a grin the young man hopped up onto the bar before offering a little bow to the rest of the patrons. "The name is Captain Harry Hook. My boys and I are looking for strong bodied pirates who want to set sail. So if you're tired of towing folks around like a bunch of worthless ferrymen, and have had your fill of giving out sailing lessons just to make ends meat...then the Lost Revenge is the ship for you, mateys!" The murmuring of hushed conversation was heard spreading across the room like wildfire, and a few men actually cheered at the prospect of being a real pirate again. Yet a few others in the tavern seemed less than amused by Hook's offer, but their eyes were focused on the fresh blood still dripping from Harry's sword.
