"It's not that big," Levi said, a little on the awkward side even as he reached out to take one of the bags from her -- poor Lina probably didn't' deserve the way she kept getting squished up against Isabel -- even though the cat didn't seem to mind much either. Really, she was well behaved and seemed to just enjoy all the constant cuddles she was getting. Isabel always had been something of an animal whisperer.
She'd be impressed by his place anyway, he figured, even though compared to some homes, it wasn't much to talk about. But it was more than enough room for him, and by their standards it was the nicest home he'd ever lived in before.
"Did -- they give you a place to live?" He asked, once they were out on the sidewalk again, and he was headed toward the direction of his own place. "Or..." She could live with him, if she wanted. There was an extra room.
