They'd get to that something eventually -- Levi wasn't sure what he was going to say exactly, but he knew it was going to have to be something. Lying probably wouldn't be wise, nor would it be particularly fair to Isabel, even if there was a (big) part of Levi that would have preferred sparing her the pain of the truth.
It was actually a good thing they were out and about getting things done, because it gave Levi a lot of time to think about the situation he had on his hands. With no small amount of self deprecation, Levi suspected that Isabel had drawn the short stick with Levi. He wasn't any kind of good with words.
"Here," he said, stopping in front of a building, that boasted in bright lights that it was a Pet Pit Stop. Whatever the fuck that meant. The doors whooshed open on their own, and if he was being honest, Levi sort of hated that shit for the way it made him wary and on edge. "Don't put the cat down," he advised, pretending that doors that ran electronically was anywhere near normal. "Not sure if we're supposed to bring it in here."
