There were those hugs again -- and this time Levi had to sort of just force himself to take it rather than give one back, because he was already probably looking far too suspicious. Which, what a fucking thing, having to deny physical affection or else he wouldn't look like himself. What a goddamned asshole he was.
He was going to have to try and be better. Had been trying, really.
"Just wait," he said lightly, thinking about the things he'd seen so far, the things he'd loved and marveled over. Everything that was different and better. And horrifyingly daunting and far too overwhelming. Isabel would like it all. She'd take it all in stride and she'd fit in around here wonderfully, no doubt.
Levi wanted to show her the ocean.
For now, though, he simply filled out the paperwork -- writing in her name, but using his own address because he didn't actually know if she'd been given a place or not, or maybe, if she wanted, she might just prefer staying with him.
"Alright," he said, pushing the paperwork back neatly over the counter and glancing back at Isabel. "Let's... find a pet store, I guess."
