Who: Lydia Martin Where: Her place When: Wednesday afternoon What: Waking up screaming Why: Nightmares/Flashbacks Status: Complete Ratings: None
As Lydia laid within the comfort of her bed, what seemed like any typical night of sleep was slowly turning into something more. With the light twitches of her fingertips and the twitch of her arm, it was slowly becoming obvious that Lydia was not having a so great dream. With the light whimpers escaping her lips, she felt her body jolt from time to time. Light cries would escape her parted lips as she felt her breathing become hectic. It was uncertain what she was dreaming about, but one thing was certain, it wasn’t anything good if it was causing her to have a restless night.
Her hands that rested at her sides would come to grip at her sheets and twist tightly, her nails digging into the fabric as it would be heard lightly tearing under her fingers. As her head would jerk to the side and her body would toss, the feel of tears coming down her cheeks was felt as she kept her eyes closed tightly. Not wanting to open them, or even being able to for that matter.
But as her body tossed and turned violently, the feel of her lips parting and the skin breaking from how dry they had become, but it wasn’t long before that final high pitched scream would escape her lips, as her sheets would be thrown off her frame as she came to have her eyes open suddenly as tears came down her face at the flashbacks, of what the previous few days had replayed in her head. Something she had hoped had all been a dream but realized it wasn’t and that Preya was not the sure safe haven she had once thought it was now.
