People were dying, others were going missing. It was a lot to deal with. Especially if you were a Council member. The Ruler didn’t exactly fill them in on what was going on. Veronica had to deal with questions from concerned citizens that she just didn’t have the answer too. And the past few days had been particularly insane. The blonde needed a break. Or a drink. Both sounded pretty good at the moment it. Which was precisely why she had sent Dean a text to let him know she was stopping by, with beer.
After leaving the office Veronica picked up a six pack and headed to Dean’s place, a small smile on her face when he answered the door. Veronica wasn’t exactly the warm and fuzzy time. Her smile rarely spread clear across her face. But seeing a friend did at least bring out a small one. “I know better than to come over empty handed,” she quipped as she stepped inside. “Eh, you know, same old same old. Lots of paperwork,” she shrugged not wanting to make too big of a deal out of the recent events. Even if it was… troubling.
