Lydia had come clean to Mitch, about where she was from and what she was. Well, she didn’t tell him exactly what she was, she told him she was part of the supernatural world. The reason she was halfway to his place now was that she offered to give him the evidence. She just hoped her scream wouldn’t alarm the others. Especially, since she knew Peter lived in the area. The last thing she wanted was him showing up at Mitch’s place for whatever reasoning.
As she came to park her car, it wasn’t long before she reached his door. Her red hair down as usual now. But tonight instead of jeans she wore a pair of light blue shorts and a floral shirt with heels. This is how Lydia usually dressed back home, her reason for it today as she went to school. As she came to knock on the door, she waited for Mitch to open.
She just hoped she wouldn’t hurt him with her scream.

Mitch honestly didn't know what to think. He never thought Lydia would tell him anything like that. He was still slowly getting to know her. So, yes, he had to ask her if she was fucking with him or not. And now she was coming over to show him what she could do. What that was, he had no idea, but he was pretty sure he was about to find out.
When the knock came, he got up off of the couch and answered the door. "Hey," he greeted Lydia as he opened the door and motioned for her to come on inside.
***
“Hey.” Is all she said as she came to walk into this apartment. Lydia did glance around for the moment before she turned and stared at Mitch. She bites her bottom lip for the moment as she relaxed her nerves as best as she could. “So… You want to see what I am?” She asked slightly as she came to place her bag off to the counter.
She did make sure to take a few steps away from him as she came to take in a deep breathe and exhale once again. She had to remind herself that he was human, and if she screamed too loud she could kill him, so she had to focus on just the right pitch.
***
He shut the door and then watched her. She was nervous, he could tell by her body language. Well, she wasn’t the only one because he was still trying to let what she told him to sink in. The fact that she was here and not acting in her normal confident way meant that she could possibly be telling him the truth. “Yes, I want to see what you are.” It was the only way that he would be able to believe it.
***
Lydia came to exhale deeply as she looked around the apartment and soon back to him. Once facing him, she came to bite her lower lip for the moment. “Alright then.” Is all she would say as she came to take in a deep breathe. It wasn’t long before that high pitched scream would escape her lips. But it wasn’t so high that it could kill him, but it was high enough to cause a vibration in his apartment as well as cause his ears bleeds slightly.
Once that scream was over with, she would come to once more lick at her lips and watch him. Wondering what he was going to say or even do. Some of the items in his house had moved, or fallen off their location due to the vibration around the apartment.
***
The second Lydia screamed, he was already covering his ears. And even though he was doing that, it wasn’t helping much. It still hurt. He was definitely happy when she stopped with the screaming.
He slowly moved his hands away from his ears and just stared at her for a few before he finally spoke. “Okay, so, you weren’t fucking with me. What exactly are you?”
***
“Banshee.” Is all she said as she came to move towards his kitchen. Grabbing a bottle of water and taking a sip. The screaming didn’t hurt her throat, she used to her abilities at this point. Already she came to lean against the counter as green eyes watched him. “Wanted you to know.” She said with a light shrug of her shoulders as she came to watch him.
“So… Thoughts?” She said with a slight smirk on her features. She wasn’t as nervous as she was when she walked into his place. Mainly because she felt better in letting him know what she was exactly.
***
Mitch did wish the ringing in his ears would stop. He knew it would soon. He just wished it would stop right now. “Were you born this way?” he asked. He was going to ask questions now, of course. She wasn’t human even though she looked perfectly human “Well I know now….” And he wasn’t sure if this would change anything or not from this point on.
“Well,” he started as he walked over and took a seat on the couch, “Now I have to get used to the fact that you’re not human and that supernaturals exist.” At least in this place. Because he had a feeling that she wasn’t the only one. There was just no way.
***
“No, I was attacked in high school by an Alpha werewolf. But instead of turning into a werewolf, my bloodline is linked to Banshees so it pretty much woke that part of me up,” she informed him as she came to take a seat next to him on the couch.
“I mean, Im still pretty normal. Just add a sonic scream to it is all,” she said with a slight smile. Trying to make light of the situation.
***
"Oh...okay." Werewolves existed too where she was from? That was just something else that he would have to let sink in.
"If you hadn't told me or shown me what you are, I would have thought you were pretty normal." But she wasn't. And honestly, he didn't care. It didn't scare him. So, she was different. That didn't change anything, really. He still liked having her around and he really didn't see anything changing after tonight.
"Anything else you feel like sharing or was this the only big thing?"
***
She thought for a moment, or if she had anything else to share or not. “Well… When I first came here because I was in a daze, as I like to call it. It’s because I was drawn to you for whatever reason. “ She replied with a light shrug of her shoulders as she brushed her hair from her face.
“Whatever that reason is, I don’t know.” She added with another shrug as she came to watch him. Her fingers playing over the end of her shirt as she came to smile at him for the moment.
“I’m glad I was brought to you though. I like hanging out with you.”
***
He had always wondered what made her just come to his door. And now he knew. Sort of. She was in some kind of daze. He was wondering what exactly drew her to him, though. It had to be something or she would have never knocked on his door.
"Now I'm curious. What normally grabs your attention?"
Whatever the reason, he was glad as well. He didn't mind having Lydia around at all. He didn't know anyone else in Preya, which was the point of being there, and everyone he knew back at home he couldn't really trust right now. "Me too," he said with a slight smile.
***
Lydia thought for a moment, on why she was brought to him. “It’s hard to explain. Sometimes I’m just drawn to people and sometimes, it’s because something bad is going to happen to them.” She said with another shrug of her shoulders.
“You should also know, which I’m sure you figured out. You look like my best friend, almost.” She said as she came to bite her bottom lip for the moment. Her hand brushing her red hair from her face as she came to take a seat on his couch since she was still standing up.
***
“I hope you weren’t drawn to me because something bad is about to happen.” Enough bad had already happened. He wouldn’t be completely ready for anything else right now.
“Stiles, right?” Yeah, that was still weird having someone else around that looked like him. Or rather looked like how he used to look back in high school.
He sat down a moment after Lydia since it was silly for him to just keep standing there. “Do others know what you are or do you only tell certain people?”
***
“It uses to be only my friends know. It doesn’t really bother me now if people know what I am.” She replied with another light shrug of her shoulders. Getting tired of brushing her hair back, she would finally come to pick it up. Still, she had green eyes come to look towards Mitch as he sat down next to her.
He did look like Stiles, but older. But the way he acted was nothing like Stiles. Maybe that’s what she liked about him. “I hope nothing happens to you. I kinda like having you around lately.” She said with a slight snicker escaping her lips as she came to smile in his direction.
“Maybe when you’re shoulder is better we can get you out this apartment.”
***
“Shouldn’t it? People get weird when they don’t understand something.” And Lydia not being human was beyond the realm of anything normal.
“Nothing is going to happen to me…” As long as nobody else gets an invitation to Preya then he should be fine. “I kind of like having you around, too.” She was the small bit of normalcy that he got to have whenever she came over.
“Yeah, maybe.” He knew he couldn’t hide in the apartment forever. He just needed to be able to handle anything that could happen once he went back into the real world. Until then lying low was his best move.
***
“You know you’re lucky I came around, or else you’d have no way of getting fresh food weekly.” She said shaking her head as she smiled lightly. “Don’t worry, after a while the whole banshee thing won’t even be relevant anymore.” She added as she came to look around the apartment and soon back to him.
“You know, I come here so much I might as well have a key to this place.” She said joking as she came to brush her red hair from her face.
***
“I would have gone out eventually.” He wasn’t going to let himself starve. And he also knew how to order pizza. Although, he would’ve gotten sick of that pretty quickly. “You really think that?” He didn’t get why she seemed to brush it off so easily. Something like that didn’t seem so easy to forget or get brushed aside like it was nothing.
He stared at her for a moment before a small smirk started to show. “Oh, but Lydia, it’s so soon. I don't think we’re in key territory yet.”
***
Lydia couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Mitch for the moment, before letting that smile show across her features. “Yeah yeah. You’d be bored without me.” Is all she said as she came to brush her hand through her hair once more, before finally moving towards the kitchen and making something for dinner for them once again.
A tradition that seemed to have developed between them, since meeting.
