Lydia was fuming. If it was possible, smoke would be coming out her ears as she drives down that street and towards Mitch’s apartment. It also didn’t help that she had a few drinks while learning that Lucifer was actually the Devil and she now owed him a favor just to make sure Mitch didn’t get himself into any trouble.
Once at his door, Lydia wouldn’t do her usual knock, but she would rather be banging on his door. “Mitch! Mitchell!” She screamed out as her red hair fell out its bun and came down her shoulders like usual. Of course, her cheeks were red, a mixture of alcohol and anger showed on her face.
He had two minutes to open this door before she screamed and breaks it down.
***
Rapp had been asleep in his room when the banging on the door started. It didn't take him long to jump out of bed, grab his gun and head towards the door, ready to shoot anyone who might actually break in. But when he heard Lydia's voice coming from behind the door. He lowered the gun and then opened the door.
"What is wrong with you?"
***
Once Mitch came to open the door, Lydia made her way inside and glared back at him. “Me. Me?! What the hell is wrong with you!?” She said as she came to point in his direction, like if that was really going to scare him or anything. But she was fuming, and slightly tipsy from drinking which was never a good combination.
“Do you know who I just got finished having drinks with? Lucifer freaking Morningstar!” She said as she came to glare at him once more. Her small frame coming to stand her ground not far from him. “The jackass you asked for help from! The jackass who just happens to be the actual fucking Devil! I just had drinks with the Devil, I now owe the Devil a favor, because of you” She said poking at his chest.
***
He shut the door once Lydia made her way inside. It was pretty damn obvious that she was pissed off and a little bit drunk. Whatever this was, why couldn't it wait until morning? "What did I do now?" he asked with a sigh. As far as he knew, nothing because he hadn't done anything since the day he went to get the pills from Lucifer, which he knew pissed Lydia off.
"Okay...?" And he was supposed to care about that because? "I know who he is," he pointed out since yeah, he was the guy he owed a favor to. "The Devil? Really?" He didn't believe it. He also grabbed Lydia's finger with his free hand since he wanted her to stop poking his chest. "I think you had a little too much to drink." He paused for a moment before adding. "What did you do?"
***
Once he grabbed her finger she glared up at him. “What, that so hard to believe, I’m a goddamn Banshee, so it can’t be hard to believe that you meet the damn Devil.” She replied as she came to grip with his hand for the moment. But soon he asked what she did. Which caused her to crunch up her face with annoyance.
“I did what I wanted to do to make sure…. To make sure your dumbass wouldn’t… To make sure nothing bad would happen to you again.” She replied as she came to look away from him. She still gripped his hand, because she was pissed off at this whole situation.
“And he knows what I am, knew it the moment I walked into that stupid club.”
***
"Because it's The Devil. That's a little harder to believe. Not to mention, I've met him. He didn't look devilish to me." He looked like a guy with way too much money and maybe a little too much power over people. Honestly, Lucifer kind of reminded him of a few of the terrorists that he had taken out.
"What exactly did you offer him?" Mitch wanted to know. He let go of her hand and pulled away so that she wouldn't have a grasp on his hand anymore either. "You shouldn't have gone there, Lydia. I get that you want to take care of me or whatever it is, but I didn't need you to do this." He could pay his own debts. He knew what he was getting himself into when he agreed to the deal that the had made with Lucifer. He didn't need some nineteen years old to 'save' him.
"You shouldn't have gone," he said as he started to head back to his bedroom to put the gun away.
***
She came to watch him as he walked off to the bedroom to put that gun away, her frame came to follow behind him. “Don’t, don’t you dare make it sound like I shouldn’t care about you.” She said as she came to watch him move about in his bedroom.
“If you had just been honest with me, none of us would be in any type of debt to the Devil. And what exactly does the Devil look like? Hrm? Because lemme tell you, he sure as shit looked like an angel when he sprouted wings at me.”
She said as she poked at his chest once more. “Why couldn’t you just be honest, hrm? Why couldn’t you just tell me you were in a lot of pain.”
***
Mitch heard her footsteps following right behind him. He kind of figured that she'd follow him. He had put the gun back down on the nightstand where he had it before Lydia and her pounding woke him up. Once he was done with that he was facing Lydia once again. "You hardly know me. Why do you care so much about what happens to me or what kind of deals I make with shady looking characters?"
He just shook his head. This was exactly why he had been trying to keep it from her. "This right here right now is why I kept it from you. You went and made a deal. One you don't seem to want to share with me," he pointed out. "I don't know. Horns and a tail?" Not like he ever really thought too hard about what the Devil might actually look like if he were real.
"Because I'm not used to sharing..." He grabbed her hand once again so she couldn't poke at his chest again. "I'm used to dealing with things on my own."
***
“I owe him a favor, that’s all he said.” She replied as she felt Mitch grab at her hands once more. “Because I was obviously was meant to find you. And that means something to me. “ She replied yanking her hands from his hold. “If you had just told me the truth, none of us would be in this. I told you the truth, I’ve been nothing but honest with you.”
She replied as she came to brush her hair from her face for the moment. “I care, as hard as it is for you to get or understand I genuinely care about you, and don’t want anything happening to you. That’s why I agreed to owe him a favor.” She said as she came to watch him.
“Tell me. Tell me you want to deal with things on your own now. Tell it to me and mean it and I’ll leave. I won’t bother you again since you want to do things on your own. Which by the way seems to have worked out great in the past” She said motioning towards his shoulder.
***
"So, the same thing he said to me." Which wasn't a good thing especially if Lucifer knew exactly what Lydia was. He could use that. Just like Lucifer could use Mitch in a bad way if he really wanted to. He dropped his hands to his sides when she yanked her hands away. "Okay, yeah, you're right. I should have just told you what I did." He wished he had. If he had, then she wouldn't have gone to Lucifer and she wouldn't be in debt now.
He shook his head. "This is fucked up. You shouldn't have to be in debt because of me." He hated it.
"I don't want you to leave." And he definitely didn't want her to be out of his life, either. He liked having her around. He followed her gaze to his shoulder and then looked over at her again. "My job...I'm alone most of the time. And yeah, things got fucked and I got shot and then I ended up here. But, I don't want you to leave and I don't want you out of my life." He walked towards her a bit, kind of blocking her only way out of the bedroom. She wasn't leaving. Not until they fixed this.
***
She came to listen to him. “Yeah well, too late for that now, huh?” She said as she came to watch him block the door. Her eyes narrowed slightly. “You know, if I wanted to leave I can move you.” She stated as she came to take a step towards him when he did the same motion towards her.
“And we’re both screwed because the way he said ‘use my natural abilities’ didn’t sit too well with me. Least I was smart enough to negotiate some type of terms. Were you?” She said as she came to stare up at him for the moment. But she soon listened to him explain a bit about his job and she sighed deeply.
“I haven’t been alone since I was in middle school. I’ve always had someone watching out for me since Freshman year.” She said thinking a moment. “Well, technically third grade but we became friends, Freshman year and have been ever since.” She said about Stiles as she smiled lightly. But looked at Mitch and poked his chest again.
“You are so stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.” She said poking his chest each time.
***
Oh, he knew damn well that Lydia could leave if she really wanted to. All she had to do was scream and Mitch would have no choice but to move. Still, he was standing his ground and for now, he wasn't moving. He just gave a slight shrug o this should and a look that said, yeah and?
"I wasn't worried about the favor. Especially since I paid for the pills with cash." He honestly figured that Lucifer might just forget about the whole favor thing. Money spoke louder than favors. "You shouldn't have made any kind of deal." She should have never put herself in that position to start with.
"You're lucky." Him, not so much. And there she went again with the fucking poking. He grabbed her hands and kept a tight hold on them. "If I'm stupid, then so are you, honey." They both made deals, so nobody was really a winner here.
***
When he came to grip her hands, it caused Lydia to step towards him and glare up at him for the most part. “Yeah well now you have me, so you better start telling me the truth or else we’ll both be two stupid people doing things.” She said as she came to stare at him.
And soon that pet name was made clear as she came to look at him and glare. “I don’t like to be called honey, or darling, or sweetheart.” She replied as she came to try and poke him but couldn’t because her hands were being held by his. “Let go of me so I can poke you dammit!” Is all she would say as she wiggled her hands the best she could.
“Would you like it if I called you, baby, or sugar or even cupcake?” She said looking up at him for the most part. With her hands held, her red hair would be in her face for the moment.
***
"Alright, from this point on I'll tell you the truth." If it kept Lydia from doing any other stupid things because of him, then, yeah, he'd be more than happy to share things with her.
"Noted." He would stop with the names, but he wasn't going to let go of her hands. Not until he knew that she wouldn't feel the need to poke at his chest anymore. "No, I'm not going to let go," he told her a slight smile forming.
"I honestly wouldn't care," he told her. "But it's pretty obvious that you hate all of those nicknames. Why is that?"
***
“Why are you smiling?” She said getting frustrated with him now for smiling like that... Her frame moved closer as she wiggled her hands again but nothing. Only to exhaled as she came to rest her head on his chest since Lydia was that tiny.
“It’s degrading…. And no one's ever called me any names like that. Well except Peter and I wanted to punch him when he did it.” She said thinking about the day she learned Peter had a daughter, he had called her sweetheart in such a condescending tone.
“Good.” She said about him going to tell her the truth. “If you had just done that from the beginning, we could have been enjoying food right now…. Or I could be enjoying your bed again.” She said since she had spent the night before and his bed was super soft.
***
"Because I know you want me to let go and I'm not going to do it." He just kept on smiling and he kept a hold on her hands even when she leaned in and rested her head against him.
"Okay, I won't call you any of those types of names." He might slip up here and there, but at some point, he'll actually remember that Lydia hates it.
"Haven't you eaten?" Well, he knew one thing, she wasn't going home. He wasn't going to let her. She was drunk and he wasn't going to let her risk her life again. "You could still enjoy it again because you're staying...whether you like it or not." He finally let go of her hands, but if she started poking, he was grabbing them again.
***
She came to look up at him and narrowed her eyes. “Oh, and what are you going to do to keep me here, hrm? You know, I can kick your ass. Not just the scream but actually kick your ass.” She replied as she came to stand up straighter. Her hand brushing her hair from her face for the most part.
“No, I haven’t eaten,” she replied with a slight grumble. “I was too busy having drinks with the Devil because an idiot I care about did something stupid.” She replied as she came to poke his chest once more. But this time when he came to grab at her hands, Lydia did something new.
She bites at his chest.
***
“I don’t know yet. Tie you up?” He’d pretty much try anything to keep her there. Because he was not going to let her drive home. “I can fight too, you know.” Although, that would be a stupid thing for him to do right now. Not when his shoulder wasn’t completely healed yet.
“And now you did something as equally stupid,” he pointed out. And she had to poke his chest again. He rolled his eyes and tried to grab her hand again. But then she hit him.
“What the fuck? If you’re that hungry, go into the kitchen and find something to eat.” He moved to her side and then nudged her towards the door.
***
“So you want to tie me up?” Lydia said laughing slightly. Only to watch him move to her side and nudge her towards the door. “No, I wanna eat you.” She said as she came to quickly hug him and take light nips at his chest area.
That hidden smile on her features, as it showed she wasn’t as mad as she was when entering, but she was still mad at him. But Lydia knew being mad did nothing, so she would do something to change her mood.
And biting Mitch was it since it made her smile knowing she was giving him light pains here and there.
***
"If I have to, I will do it," he warned her. If it was the only way to keep her there, yep, he would do it. And he might actually have a little fun doing it too. "I'm not exactly tasty,' he said just before she started to nip at him again. "Hey," he grabbed by the shoulders and moved her away, "stop that, bitey."
She didn't seem so bad at him anymore, which is a good thing. He really didn't want her to be mad anymore. "Do you really want something to eat? Maybe we can find something."
***
She came to stare at him. “Nope, I’m just going to keep biting you.” She said with a light laugh escaping her lips as she tried to bite him again. When he came to grab at her shoulders, Lydia came to wiggle and tried to tackle him to the bed.
If she was successful, she would once again try to bite at his chest and this time adding his neck, as she came to laugh. If she wasn’t able to, then she would most likely land on the bed and turn over to glare at him. Making little biting motions.
***
"And you're drunk." He kept his hold her on, making sure that she wasn't close enough to bite at him again. It wasn't like he was holding onto her shoulders all that tightly. Her wiggling just caused him to moved his hands away and take a step away from her.
"You're lucky I don't have my phone right now or I would be getting some great blackmail video of you right now," he jokingly said, making sure to keep a few inches between them just so she couldn't nip at him again. "Are you sure you don't want something to eat?" Anything to get her mind somewhere else.
***
Lydia wasn't really aware just how drunk she was since she was more focused on how pissed off she was at him mainly. “Im fine,” she said about wanting or even needing food for the most part.
“You wouldn't dare blackmail me,” she said laughing as she laid on his bed. “You know what I want. A kiss,” she said with a firm nod of her head.
“One of those take your breath away kisses,” she added with another soft laugh escaping her lips.
***
"Okay." If she said she was fine then she was fine. He wasn't going to bug her about it anymore.
"Maybe I would," he told her, flashing a quick smile her way. He wouldn't. It was just fun to throw around right now especially with how she was acting.
He sat down on the edge of the bed and then moved onto it until he was laying down beside her. "You don't really want that, do you?"
***
She came to glare at him once more. But as he came to sit on the bed and lay on his side, Lydia came to turn her head and face him for the moment.
“What if I do… Are you going to give it to me?” she asked as she came to brush her hair from her face once more. A deep exhale left her parted lips.
Already she came to lightly bit at her lips as she watched him. “I do actually,” she said admitting she wanted to be kissed like she was the only thing that mattered to someone.
***
Mitch looked over at her as she spoke. He could give her what she wanted. "Do you really want to cross that line?" And should anything happen especially when she was a bit on the drunk side?
"Is this you talking or is it the alcohol talking?" Honestly, he believed it was just the drink talking and Lydia should probably just close her eyes and go to sleep. Because he didn't want anything to happen that she might regret when she woke up the next day.
***
Lydia came to turn over slightly, so she was now facing him as she came to brush her red hair from her face. She came to smile slightly up at Mitch for the moment. “I’m not that drunk anymore.” She replied as she came to smile once more up at him.
She came to lightly lick and bite her bottom lip as she came to look up at him once more. Her own green eyes watching his facial features, more so his lips to be honest. “Kiss me.” She said in a soft tone.
***
"Did your anger burn off some of the alcohol?" he asked with a hint of sarcasm and a small smile. She had been pretty mad. Now she seemed to have calmed down, thank god, because he really didn't want to fight with her all night.
If she wanted to be kissed, who was he to deny her such a request? Not like he didn't want to. Who wouldn't want to kiss her? He moved in closer, closing the gap between them, only taking one last look at her before he leaned in and kissed her.
