There was something that felt infinitely right about the sort of ease Cas seemed to put an arm around him. It was familiar, feeling a body snuggling up against his, and Dean knew this was something he could easily get used to. Where he was used to smaller, thinner frames, softer in all the right places and just in general, Castiel's solidness was welcomed. The low rumble of his voice felt as much 'home' as the similar mattress, and the purr of the impala. Even in a strange place like this, in a moment like this, everything felt okay.
It wasn't long before the warmth and closeness enveloped Dean and sleep came. The transition was slow enough that when Dean came to himself in the dream, opening the door to the saloon felt every bit as natural as if it were actually happening. Nothing seemed out of place, the lack of people except for the barkeep more comforting than alarming. He just knew there wasn't anything outside, so, the only logical thing to do was walk inside, drop himself on the stool and order a drink.
As he took the first swallow, Dean gave a satisfied hum, the golden hue of the haze on the edge of the vision meant this would be a good one. Lazy probably, as far as dreams went, but whatever the reason, this was more than nursing a glass of whiskey he couldn't even taste but went through the motions of anyway. There was music, from no obvious source and a girl that slid up at his side. All normal, as far as this sort of thing went and Dean turned, letting her lean into him, her hips between his knees. Innocent. Mostly, but as Dean looked, it was a bit too obvious why she was there. Her hair was curled, but dark brown, almost black, and cool blue eyes that were bordering on naive despite the fact that she wasn't totally young.
He swallowed, she didn't even need to talk but her hands coming to rest on his thighs prompted him to notice her dress. Gold. That was probably the most safe option all things considered. There was no reason not to take advantage, yet, before he could lean into her he felt a shift, not unlike a dip in a bed but more subtle. When he turned his head and raised a brow, the girl and the barkeep were gone, the music stopped.
