Gideon felt it was time to try and reconnect with his daughter. So, he would take the drive all the way to her high school and wait for her. His black Camaro parked outside, as Gideon stood against the car. His long hair tied back as he wore a simple black tee and jeans. Gideon had what some people would call a primal look to him. Something Talia always loved. Despite it being so long, he still wore his wedding ring on his finger. Something he would never remove.
Still, he was a bit nervous about seeing his youngest daughter, since his children still didn’t understand the agreement Gideon and Talia had made years ago before having children. As the bell rang and the kids started coming out, he would come to lean up. Trying to find his daughter, at least by her scent. But when he found it, it wasn’t located on Cora. But rather a skinny kid. Stiles, was it? He tried to remember.
Slowly steps came off that car as he came to stand behind that male, and place his hand on his shoulder to stop him from walking. Gideon stood alone at six foot two inches, so he was massive in height compared to others in this pack. Family.

Stiles had been glad that the last bell rang. It meant he could go home and take a nap. Spending all weekend at ht theme park was tiring.
He had been walking, minding his own business, not even noticing that Cora's dad was there until he felt a hand on his shoulder. He froze and then slowly turned around to see who had laid a hand on him. He had hoped it was just another student, but nope! It was Cora's dad, Gideon.
Talking to him online had been one thing, but seeing the guy in person. Wow! Massive and kind of scary looking. "Uh, hey," he finally said, trying to keep himself calm. He was definitely glad that he taught himself how to stay calm around other werewolves or they would always know how freaked out he was. And that wouldn't be a good thing. "What's up?"

Gideon came to take in a deep breathe as he looked to Stiles for the moment. “I think we need to have a little talk.” Is all he said as he came to grip Stiles shirt and started walking towards his car, literally dragging the poor boy with him. Gideon was aware that Cora and Stiles were living together, so smelling like one another was bound to happen. But not like this. He literally reeked of Cora.
Once at the car he would guide Stiles into the passenger seat and came to shut the door. It wasn’t long before he came into the driver side and pulled out that parking lot. His direction? Everdale. Afterall, it was still close to Summerbridge wasn’t it? Sure it was. “So. You and my daughter live together.” Is all he would say as he came to turn a corner.
His deep browns glancing towards Stiles from time to time. He did take into thought what Deucalian said about the human, and how he was a big help to the McCall pack.
***
"Do we?" Stiles asked. He didn't really feel like they needed to have a talk. He kind of figured that it would be about Cora and he knew Cora hadn't been sharing too much with anyone. So, it wasn't like he was going to share either.
And even though he had been dragged to the car and practically shoved into the passenger's side, he knew getting out and making a run for it would be useless. Gideon would be a hell of a lot faster than him, so he stayed put.
He kept looking out the window until Gideon spoke again. He glanced over at him for a moment. "Yeah, we live together." That wasn't a secret. Anyone who read the network knew it since Cora announced it when they got the house.

“Are you sleeping with my daughter.” Is all he would ask as he came to turn another corner, that leads down a dirt road towards his cabin. As he came to a stop he would look over at Stiles for the moment. The way he smelled, was the way he and Talia would smell when they shared a bed when he would come to visit or she would go to visit him.
Already he came to move out the car and around to grab Stiles and help him out the car. Only to lightly shove him up those steps to the entrance of the cabin. “Plus, I think it’s time we get to know each other.” He stated as well as he came to let him in the cabin and moved inside behind him.
The cabin was small, didn’t have much. The one main visible thing would be a photo of the Hales. Which consisted of himself, and Talia. Laura would be between them and Derek holding to Talia’s side, while Gideon held Cora who was still a baby, with his arm around Peter. It was a sweet photo and probably one of the last photos of the family whole and happy.

If Stiles had been drinking anything, now would be the time where he would spit out said drink. But, he wasn't, so all he could do was choke on his own saliva. "I don't really have to answer that, do I?" He had a feeling Daddy Hale already had an idea of what he and Cora did or the question wouldn't have come out of anywhere.
Once again he was manhandled until they were inside of the cabin. "I had the impression that you didn't care too much about talking. Especially when you said that I talk too much." Yep, he hadn't forgotten that.
In the cabin, he looked around. There wasn't much, but the picture grabbed his attention and he couldn't help but to gravitate towards it and look at it.
***
Gideon noticed Stiles walking towards the photo as he came to cross his arms and watch the kid closely. “You do have to answer it.” Gideon knew the answer but he wanted to hear it from this one, since he still didn’t know how to talk to Cora about, well everything.
“That was when things were still normal.” He said about the photo. “And you do talk a lot. But, people have said you’re brave so. I want to see this bravery first hand.” He said as he came to look at Stiles for the moment. “Peter also tells me he offered you the bite and you turned it down.” Which Gideon thought was weird, to be honest.
But a lot had changed while he was in a coma.
***
Even when Gideon spoke, Stiles didn't look away from the picture. He could tell it was well before the fire. They all actually looked pretty happy. Which was unusual since most Hale's looked grumpy as hell.
"Are you sure you want the answer from me?" He asked, turning around to look at Gideon. Not like he needed the answer because he knew it. "We're together. I'm not using her or any other bad thing your mind is probably coming up with."
Now he was curious. He wanted to know who had been talking about him. "What exactly are you going to do?" he asked, almost a little afraid to know what he might be put through to show how brave he really was. "Yeah, that's right. Peter did offer me the bite and I turned it down. Why? Because I don't want it. I don't need it."
***
“Long as you don’t break her heart I won’t have to rip yours out.” Is all he would say as he came to cross his arms and stare at Stiles for the moment. Only to glance to the photo from time to time before looking at Stiles once more.
“You never know when you’ll need the bite. It’s something to keep in mind.” He added as he came to exhale for the moment. Gideon came to move into the kitchen and grab a bottle of water, before tossing it towards Stiles.
“Deucalian says you’re braver than most betas. And not to mention the only human in your pack.”
***
"I'm not going to break your heart," he told Gideon and then added, "You don't really need to threaten me." He cared for Cora a lot. He wasn't going to do anything to her that could possibly hurt her.
He moved away from the picture since he was done looking at it and kind of just slowly wondered until he finally took a seat on the couch. "Are you trying to convince me?" He caught the water bottle when it was tossed to him. "Because it won't work. I don't want it." He wasn't going to change his mind about that.
So, that's who had been talking about him. "I am the only human in the pack..." He looked away because, for him, the pack had been falling apart even though it obviously got back together again, but still, for him, the events were barely tapping for him before he ran off to Preya. He finally looked up again. "I'm sure some might say I'm reckless or crazy for jumping into things that I probably shouldn't jump into it."
***
“That’s what makes you brave.” He said for the moment as he came to sip at his bottle of water. It was also good to know that he wasn’t thinking of hurting Cora. Because Stiles seemed like a good kid. He had potential to be greater. But he would let him make that decision when the time would come.
“For what it’s worth. I’m sorry what happened to your friend, Scott. None of you kids should have been made aware of this world and I already made sure Peter knew how against it I was. Along with other things.” He stated as he came to cross his arms once more.
“You seem like a decent kid. So I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.”
***
Stiles played with is water bottle for a moment before he cracked it open and took a sip. "Who knew being those things meant being brave."
Did Gideon really just apologize for what happened that night so many years ago? He didn't need to. I wasn't his fault. "I'm the one who dragged Scott out there that night. I think even if I hadn't, we would have been sucked into it all at some point. It's Beacon Hills. Something crazy was always happening." And they were the ones who normally stopped it.
"Thanks...I think."
***
Gideon listened to Stiles and shook his head. “You sound like Cora when she was smaller. She was always running off and doing things she wasn't supposed to. Not sure how much of that is true now.” She replied thinking for the moment. Maybe a Hale dinner would be a good way to break the ice with his remaining family members.
But eyes came to look at Stiles for the moment. “Well, since my daughter seems to trust you, as well as my old friends and family, I suppose I can give you the benefit of the doubt.” He replied as he finished that water and watched Stiles.
“I’m sure you know this already, but as tough as Cora might be, she is scared. “
***
“Pretty much sounds like the Cora I know now.” So, it sounded like Cora was pretty much the same even back then. He followed Gideon's gaze, he was looking at the picture. And he couldn’t help but wonder what the werewolf was thinking.
“Oh, you definitely can. But I guess you won’t completely believe that until you see it, am I right?” That was probably going to take a while. That was fine, though.
“I know she is. I’m trying to do whatever I can so that she’s not scared.”
***
Gideon came to nod his head. “Least you’re smart.” He said about figuring that Stiles had to prove himself to Gideon for him to lighten up, even though that was a bit hard to believe. Like the rest of his family, Gideon had changed.
“My daughter seems happy with you, from what I have seen. So I am not as worried as I should be. Since she is a Hale and can handle her own.” He said as he came to bring his hand through his hair for the moment. “ I take it Derek has no idea?”
***
Stiles didn’t say anything to the comment. He just leaned back on the couch, still wondering what exactly Gideon was going to do to him. Was he seriously just going to talk? Couldn’t they have done that in the car on the way to the house or something?
“Cora can definitely handle herself.” He shook his head at the question. “No, Derek doesn’t know. He just knows we’re sharing the house together. I think she told Peter. Not sure. And, well, you figured it out on your own. Not sure if or when she’s going to clue Derek in. Then again, I’m not even sure if they’re speaking with each other. She hasn't mentioned him in awhile.”
***
Gideon came to think for the moment as she listened to Stiles say Cora and Derek hadn’t talked in awhile. It saddens him for the moment, but he shook his head. “Come on, I’ll drop you off.” Is all he said as he came to move out that small cabin and looked back at Stiles. In a sense, Gideon was looking at him to see if there was something wrong with him.
Something hidden he didn't want anyone else to know. So far, Gideon couldn’t find anything for the moment. And he still found it odd that he didn’t want the bite. But time will tell.
***
Stiles thought something would be said, but nothing was said, which, okay, he got the hint. He stood up and said, "okay."
He walked out of the small cabin and went right to the car, getting in once he reached it. "Soooo, am I allowed to tell Cora we spoke or is this a secret?"
***
“You can tell her we talked.” He replied watching this one for the moment. Once outside he would make his way to the car and look over at Stiles once again. “If either of you needs anything, you can come to me. It’s the least I can do.” He said as he stepped into the car and waited for Stiles to follow.
***
“Okay,” was all he said about that. “I’ll let Cora know that you said that.” Once he got into the car he put his seat belt on and then glanced over at Gideon. “You should talk to her...at some point.”
***
“I will.” He replied as he came to start the car and make his way towards Summerbridge. “Treat her right, and we won’t have a problem.” He said as he came to drive towards that address Stiles would give him.
