Roxy always took pride in her strong sense of right and wrong, but from what Bart was telling her, he wasn't in the wrong. "Well, it sounds like you definitely found your calling in the long run," she said, the hint of a smile on her face. "The rest of it sounds like the journey to get where you are now." She had a bigger appreciation for Bart, making something for himself from, what she could only guess, was a strange situation at first. But here he was, friendly, open, and willing to share his last pie with her.
She grabbed her fork and took a small piece, savoring the flakey crust and the delicious filling. She smiled at his compliment, pointing her fork at him. "Thank you Bart. You must like me if you're willing to share your pie. Will you let me buy another one for you?" She raised an eyebrow, happy to do so. "Or maybe we can go somewhere else for another one of your favorite foods?"
