It seemed Bart was fast in all senses and Roxy felt a bit overwhelmed by it all. He spoke without a breath and she tried to keep up with what he was asking her. She had the strangest sensation that he didn't actually stay the whole time she was answering him too, but the clues to his disappearance were small; just a rustle of a napkin or the slight tilt of the booth. He seemed like he was there, yet something was different and there was a split second change in his demeanor.
"Roxy," she said, a smile forming at his compliment. "Snackage for the road? Heading somewhere new then?" She felt like as she was asking the question, he had gone somewhere new. Well, that seemed apparent by the sudden appearance of a slushie. She raised an eyebrow, impressed at his speed. He wasn't lying, he was fast.
"Just relaxing on my day off," she said. "Nothing much other than that. How about you? Just...running around?"
