Roxy was having a nice breakfast before she started her day. Yeah, middle of the afternoon but when you worked the night shift, everything sort of changed. She had a plate of eggs, bacon and toast in front of her, a cup of tea to the side as she glanced down at the newspaper folded open in front of her. She wouldn't have realized someone had sat down if it hadn't been for the rustling of said paper and she looked up, startled to suddenly see someone sitting across from her. She glanced around the diner before back at the intruder at her booth, an eyebrow raised.
"Yes, I think we did," she said slowly, moving to fold up her paper. "Bart, right?" It would explain for his sudden appearance at her table. She always prided herself on her observational awareness, whatever she may be doing. But he had taken her completely by surprise. She didn't like that her skills seemed to be dwindling in this community due to the supernatural (and super powerful) citizens that inhabited it. Then again, it was a good practice for her to train for something new.
"Looks like we finally ran into each other. Happy it wasn't a physical altercation. Have you already eaten?"
